I prefer manual safeties and da/sa. Everything else is true though, fuck mag disconnects and that stupid challenge coin nonsense (looking at you, Beretta) and MADE IN THE USA is more of a guarantee of mediocrity than anything else when it comes to guns.

Sure. I agree based on personal preference. With an AR I always prefer free-floated with LP gas blocks, preferably adjustable. Would never mount to a gas block.
