How powerful the Islamic State "military" actually is?

Can they defeat poor European countries like Greece or Serbia in a war without Nato's help?

The kurds, Syrian Army, Iraqi Army, and air and naval strikes from the USA, Russia, France, and other world powers

But sure 200 chubby guys with AR-15s can rout them
>>
They have unprecedented endurance.

Under Operation Inherent Resolve, Coalition forces have launched over 8000 airstrikes killing 22,000 combatants and destroying 14,000 targets.

Despite this ISIS continues to advance on Iraqi held cities. They are by no means pushovers.
>>
>>28527627
Ayyyyyyyyyyy

>>28527598
June 2014 ISIS.
If the states were touching each other and went 1 v 1 ISIS would lose to almost all European armies. But ISIS could beat a few of the smallest. ISIS could also defeat the worst Arab armies.

Serbia would win slowly. Belgium would be equivalent. Montenegro would lose.
Libya would be equal. Egypt would win slowly. Lebanon would lose.

Just my 2 cents.
>>
>>28528273
Sureeeeeeeee we killed that many and hit that many targets.
Our campaign 2014-mid 2015 was absolutely shit for effectiveness and accuracy. Obama was hoping to keep it short and quiet.

June-present it has heated up and our strikes have gotten better with SOF calling in strikes.

Just like we did in Serbia and Kosovo.
>>

However, that is the absolute without a doubt, the coolest paint job I have ever seen on a Bradley fighting vehicle. Don't you think?
>>

>Despite this ISIS continues to advance on Iraqi held cities.

ISIS has been steadily losing ground for the last year, the only reason they have lasted this long was Assad's army being in tatters and half of Iraq's army only existing on payrolls.
>>
>>28528210

Yeah and?

This is Vietnam all over again, the coalition forces aren't allowed to win because it's better for politics to have the Islam boogie man out there, also those guys in Oregon are legit

The strikes are effective and those numbers come from the Pentagon themselves. ISIS demonstrates enduring resilience against a foe in the air too massive to comprehend, a far cry from the dullard Iraqi Army that they face on the ground.

The fact that a terrorist organisation consisting of untrained recruits with captured arms and vehicles controls large areas of a sovereign nation with it's own standing military is a testament to their strength in the face of adversity.
>>
>>28527598
They will beat anyone when their opponents are abandoning their posts and running away.

Look at Libya to see how they took over and ousted Muammar Gaddafi with Twitter. they basically did the same thing in Iraq and Syria, with or with out help from ??? and social media.
The Timing was impeccable as far as their invasion route was littered with resupply points and fresh local troops and munitions????
>>
>>28528486
Steadily losing ground to untrained armies does not paint a picture of ISIS being resilient.
>>
ISIS actually has tax systems, welfare and police in their towns. Kind of surprising. But they aren't shit compared to modern militarizes.

They are not losing ground but rather gaining it. They are advancing from Mosul, Baiji, Deir al-Zour and other population centers towards Fallujah with forces attacking from Ramadi on a daily basis. Your other point is also dubious considering the Iraqi Army are very much trained. They receive instruction and information from many Coalition forces such as the US 82nd and some Iraqi nationals attend US military colleges and academies.

What they lack however is indeed resolve. They have no desire to win, to thrive and dominate. These are the qualities ISIS has. Spurred by religious fury they uphold the traditions of al-jihad fi sabil Allah, fighting while massively outnumbered and ill equipped to quench the steel that rains from the sky. They are fighting men, born of harsh land with fire in their hearts and blood in their mouths. Unless Coalition forces directly intervene through GDI and assault operations, the ad-Dawlah al-Islāmiyah fī 'l-ʿIrāq wa-sh-Shām will be victorious.

Daesh is already done, since they don't actually throw offensive attacks against the PKK, YPG and Iraqi army. All they do is capture villages with slim to no resistance, such as yezidi villages and other muslim towns they enslave and use as strongholds.

What kurdish liberate are liberated for good. Sure Daesh can one day decide to send a steel plated suicide truck in the village and start a firefight, but they won't push forwards, they are only getting pushed back.

No need to talk about Jabhat al-Nusra, FSA or Jaysh al-Islam. Are they even relevant?

ISIS lost against kurdish women with rusty AKs.
They're not a powerful fighting force, all terrain they conquered was because Syria is in turmoil and Iraq doesn't have an army that fights for its land. That's it. Any motivated and trained military, even a really small one, would completely annihilate ISIS if they went boots on the ground with a shoot on sight ROE.

On one hand, ISIS is abnormally resilient and has not collapsed under the weight of everything being arrayed against it. It continues to recruit in massive numbers and output in massive numbers.

On the other hand, ISIS performance varies wildly. Because of depleting manpower and resources, several ISIS fronts have receded or collapsed while others are still pouring on the heat. Most of their successes have been rapid advances on open terrain, but their ability to hold their domains is being questioned by the fire of war.

Personally, I think they're a modernized Mongolian Horde. They're good at overrunning weak positions, but they can't overrun a location that is built like a castle and they can't into internal stability for long. You don't kill them by going toe to toe on the field, you kill them by forcing them to dig in where they can get bombed and bogged down.

By that same note, in this scenario, how the hell is ISIS going to get to the combat zone? Transport camels?

On the flip flop again, I guess ISIS could follow this "cancer" model they have going on, travel enmasse as civilians, subvert a few smaller military bases and move on from there with stolen equipment, and ride that shit till the wheels fall off. Loot local banks, etc....well...I guess they probably could make inroads.

Who would win in a war between Europe and ISIS, you ask?

> the salmon-colored dawn breaks on the desert plain as the ISIS fighters prepare themselves
> prayers are made towards Mecca and weapons are readied with haste, as this is the morning the fighters will face the infidel hordes for good
> over the crest of a distant hill, the first of the Europeans appear.... the Swedish Catamite Brigades
> they charge in their thousands and hundreds of thousands, their rapturous battle cry of "SWEDEN, YES!" ringing out across the desert like the peal of a great bell
> ISIS opens fire and thousands of Catamites fall, but the few that reach the ISIS lines immediately rip off their pants, drop to their knees and present their bleached, waxed anuses to the Muslims
> bewildered, the ISIS fighters are just beginning to make sense of the situation when the next wave appears.... wagons loaded with weeping English Foster Care children and being town by great lines of English men yoked together, wearing shirts that read "We're Sorry"
> unable to restrain themselves after the Catamite onslaught, the ISIS fighters ignore their orders and rush forwards, tearing open the wagons and carrying off the English children as the men towing the wagons remind themselves not to be racist
> the battlefield devolves into a mass of rape and apology for a bit before the drone of engines echos across the sands
> hundred of German-marked transport planes, the ones that didn't crash on takeoff due to lack of maintenance, that is, stream overhead and block out the sky as their rear loading doors open and their cargo spills out
> pallets of money.... every Euro that could be printed.... the entire monetary worth of the European Union falls from the stratosphere
> pallets of Euros smash down into European and ISIS fighter alike
> they are crushed in their thousands, caught in vignettes of rape and ravishment and white apology

They're not untrained, that's for sure. All the survivors from the small insurgent groups we used to target are exactly what we call of ISIS by now.
They learned to survive drone strikes, longbows, cobras, Abrams and the best infantry in the world. That's one hell of a endurance, when compared to the half asleep-half awake Iraqi army, that was eating glue during all the conflict, hoping that we would sort the problem for them. Now they're paying the price for their lack of action.

> but as they attempt to withdraw from the field, a keening wail is heard in the distance
> unable to comprehend what has happened to this point, the ISIS fighters look towards the shreik's source as if they're staring into the face of an elder alien god, out of place in this dimension
> from the hilltops and ridges, millions of them descend, wearing every color in the rainbow... their genders are indistinct, their faces masks of hate and rage
> they screech with one tongue, however... and the single word they utter is "PRONOUNS!!!!!!!!"
> at the very sight of this new horror, the beleaguered ISIS fighters recoil.... at the sound of it, they tremble... this great mass of gender confusion and instant social entropy shakes the very foundations of Heaven as it rumbles towards them
> this is it. there is no hope. nothing, not even Allah the Merciful could stand before this.... every fighter readies himself for what he hopes is a quick death
> and the multicolored, shrieking wave rolls past them all..... instead, it descends on the European survivors
> Swedes, English and Italians are torn limb from limb by millions of screeching, gender-ambiguous hellions in a fit of rage so profound that not even men who a day before had been burning people alive could comprehend it
> the ISIS fighters collapse, their minds now no more useful than lumps of pudding, their God having been abandoned

Except there were airstrikes in May 2015 when ISIS routed the Iraqi army and took Ramadi. ISIS has been fighting everyone and has been bombed 14,000 times since June 2014. I think we can agree they are doing pretty well all things considered.

The Kurds are 30 miles from Raqqa? I think you need to look at the map again.
According to the key it's more like 60-70 miles.

Also, the Kurds in no way are going to try retaking Raqqa.
What they will do is try connecting the Afrin province to the rest of the Kurdish lands. Look at the Northwest near Tishrin.

Please never link Dailymail as a source ever again. It's bullshit and references no sources but a "terror expert".

Ramadi is a fucking warzone. The Iraqi government told their soldiers to push into Ramadi and take the biggest building so they could claim "victory" before year's end.
The whole South and West of the city is still ISIS territory.

>Send Mexican Military to fight ISIS
>By Mexican Military I mean Cartels with the support of the 6 Mexican AF F-5s
>Watch Narcoterrorists duel it out with Islamic Terrorists because ISIS is not a fan of them smuggling drugs through the ME
>Get ISIS beheading videos from the Cartel
>ISIS troops dropped in vats of acid
>Cartels start supplying FSA & others against Assad with drugs so they don't know when they are shot
>Assad is removed
>Peace for 3 months until the Saudis and Iranians start to kill each other.

This is true for the Peshmerga, yes. But they don't really advertise women as fighters. The YPG does use female fighters, though. Look at literally any YPG operation video and you'll see. But even so, the heavy HEAVY lifters would still be men, yes.

ISIS's biggest strength is controlling land of Sunni Arabs that are marginalized by the current regime in their respective countries. Going up against a population with little to no Sunni Arabs would get them curb stomped since they lack public support.

>Serbs are shit soldiers
Shit soldiers from national/ethnic perspective don't exist, unless we're talking in absolutes.
It's how you train someone, their equipment, motivation, organization, and culture.
Serbian and Balkan culture in general historically produced good soldiers.
You people don't understand how wars in 90's happened. It wasn't like every Serb or Muslim or Croat decided to suddenly invade and kill their neighbors. It was chaos and in that chaos various groups fought.
Serbs in general despite memes weren't that motivated for war. Plenty of people never supported Milošević. When mobilization happened for war in Croatia, 11% responded (in Serbia).
Serbs in Bosnia at one point controlled most of Bosnia. Bosnian government controlled some cities which had Muslim majority. This obviously wasn't sustainable from purely strategic perspective. Muslims lost from the start.
Serbs could've won (this isn't the question of good-bad soldiers, Serbs had advantage in equipment), but political factors prevented that. And that victory would mean a lot of bloodshed, which simply couldn't pass in late 20th century Europe.
Besides, Serbs fucking won in Bosnia, they controlled 50% of territory with 30% of population at the end. Later they lost strategically important Brčko district, but that was a political loss.

>Also, the Kurds in no way are going to try retaking Raqqa.

No, they're probably going to do the best they can to secure their land in northern Syria (as much as they can what with Turkey and all) first because once Raqqah falls, it's all ogre for IS, that'll be the final nail in the coffin and all that's left would be to sweep up the remains.

And as Raqqah is such a big deal, taking it won't be easy, IS's supply lines need to be full cut off to weaken the defenses, hence the SDF moving westward.

Oh and like in the 1st press conference the SDF did they said "we're going to take Raqqah, be ready"
>>
>>28535553
Also, in that war, Serbs claimed land where:
1) they were majority in 1991.
2) where they were majority before WW2 but weren't because of genocide of Serbs in WW2 (dubious claim obviously)
There was no rationale for conquering cities where Serbs were heavily outnumbered.

>Lebanon would lose
>Serbia would take a while
>Belgium is equal
Economies matter in warfare anon. Besides being far more advanced and have far more capital idk how u think they would be equal.
Hell Syria would easily be able to wipe the floor with them if they werent fighting on 3 fronts

>implying NATO didn't create secret training camps for "muh moderate rebels" all throughout the Arab spring
>implying UK SRR didn't get caught in Libya training sandniggers
>implying "muh moderate rebels" ever really existed and weren't known insurgents from Iraq and elsewhere

Yup, it's allllllllll just Russian propaganda

>Mongols couldnt conquer cities
Where did this meme come from?
Not only the Mongols but plenty of nomadic peoples could sack cities (Huns, Mongols, Avars, and Bulgars all wrecked cities).
They captured Baghdad and Beijing the two largest cities of the world.
