That's because it can't penetrate modern armor.
And it drops like a fucking rock. So it has a max effective range of <200m without a good optic with subtensions, which the Russians don't have.
Also, just like only Russian SOF have it, American SOF have access to various subsonic, armor penetrating assault rifles as well. I know at a minimum 3rd group has mk18's in 7.62x40WT and tungsten-core AP ammo for them, the Army's bought 200,000 .300blk uppers and over 5 million rounds of subsonic AP, then you have boltguns in the large whispers like .,500 whisper.
Buuut...they all also suffer the same problem. They drop like a fucking rock.
