I have 10 guns valued over $10,000 and still no revolver.
What revolvers should I consider. Thinking .357 magnum.
For a while I was convinced in getting a S&W 686 4" but maybe that would be too boring and plain.
>>28514163
Go for a 327 TRR8 (pictured).
>>28514207
Can you explain why it's a better choice than other .357's?
>>28514228
8 round cylinder
Lightweight frame
Relatively distinctive
>>28514163
627 pro series with a 4 inch barrel.
Mateba or Medusa
>>28514291
>>28514268
Are most .357's the same though? If I get something like a Ruger GP100 I guess there's really very little difference from any other sturdy revolver?
>>28514344
Ruger is fine.
Smith & Wesson Model 29 or a Colt Python.
>>28514291
this
>>28514344
only names to bother looking at if you have money are ruger and smith. If you want to drop 1200 on an amazing revolver, the 627 is what you should be looking at.
>>28514207
>327 TRR8
>Hillary Hole
no thanks
I refuse to buy any revolver with an internal lock.
I dont care what they say, any revolver with the Hillary Hole is a piece of shit. Internal are stupid and unnecessary. To get my to buy one of those things with an internal lock you would have to discount it 90% from MSRP and even then I would rather not have it.
>>28514388
The model 29 is a .44 magnum revolver
>>28514548
What are some good revolver choices that don't have a Hillary hole?
>>28514163
Why not get a revolver valued over $10,000?
>>28514268
>featured in battlefield hardline
.357? smith model 27, 5" barrel, blued. end of discussion.
>>28514559
Ruger
I am in the same boat as OP and am about to pull the trigger on a new GP100 or SP101
still haven't decided, the SP has one less round but is ten ounces lighter and an inch and a half shorter.
Since I will be concealing it I am leaning SP though the GP would be a better shooter.
>>28514207
>called 327
>chambered for .357
kek.
Is .327 Federal Magnum still a thing?
The ruger security six is a great piece. The grip is a bit small but a Pachmayr takes care of that.
>>28514163
Ruger is one of the more better built revolver, single and double action.
And .357 is a ladies load, get you an adult sized .44
>>28514163
Smith and Wesson. 357 is the best choice by a lot.
>>28514163
Please clarify. 10 guns worth about $10k total, or 10 guns worth $10k EACH. I need to know if you are me in a few years or if you are someone I should be insanely jealous of.
>>28514603
This. Look into Korth, Manuhrin or Janz.
Tru yuro Gucci
>>28514548
>muh hillary hole boogey man
It's like I'm back on the S&W forums in 2002.
>>28516110
SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED
>>28514163
Medusa model 47, a 25+caliber revolver. No moon clips needed.
>>28514163
if you want an eleventh, get a Pfeifer Zeliska .600 Nitro Express revolver
>>28516358
i would give my left nut for a medusa
Ruger Redhawk.
Dan Wesson.
Korth.
>>28514163
>glock master race
Personally if I'm going to shell out $10k+ on a revolver I'd want to get something different like a mateba. Not the most practical, but interesting guns none the less.
>>28514548
s&w is fucking retarded for not removing this shit
Ruger Alaskan
Get a Smith and Wesson Model 27, I model 29 if your fine with .44. The 27 shoots .357 and can shoot .38+p. If you don't want too look around for a used one, they S&W has started making new ones of their classic guns.
MR73 If you can find one.
>>28517739
again, they fucked up with their stupid internal lock hole bs. they couldve made a killing on their reissues
uberti buntline. 18 inch Barrel.
>>28517770
That's a point, then look for one of the older ones, won't be hard too fine I tell you that.
Different poster, but if you buy a Ruger LCR, could you take it too a smith and have them extend the barrel?
>>28514773
To make matters even worse, the model 357 is chambered for .41 mag, the model 32 is in .38, model 22 is in .45 acp, model 41 is in .22, and the model 44 is a super rare single action semi auto 9mm.
>>28514163
Sounds like money isn't all that much on an issue for you.
My short list of dream revolvers:
S&W Triple Lock
S&W Reg Mag
S&W Pre-29
S&W Performance Center 627, 5", unfluted cylinder
Manurhin MR73
Freedom Arms anything, honestly
Korth, obviously, if you *must* into the Rolls Royce of Revolvers.
>>28517790
Ruger released a 3" .38 LCRx, and I imagine a .357 model is due pretty soon.
>>28514614
And in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive :^)
Dan Wesson 715
S&W Model 27
S&W Model 586
dan wesson 715
>>28519132
Hahaha damn beat me to it by a few seconds
>>28514163
any S&w performance center
>>28516358
Welp aside from the SHTF factor the medusa is known to be :
Inacurate with anything but mild .38sp light .357mag
prone to cilinder gap after few shots
prone to shelle clogged in the chambers
have a bastard twist rate
grooves are relatively easy to clog up with lead residue
ANd this gun was the messiah for Euro shooter (one gun 25+ calibers, you imagine that?)
and then the first model were available and the fairy tale ended
>>28516062
This, but manurhin aren't that expensive in EUrope (€500 for a 4" gendarmerie model, up to 1k€ for the 5 3/4" sporting/GIGN version, mr 38 and 88 are in the 600€ range and MR93 are unicorn farts)
FN barracuda is cool also
>>28517375
bye wrist bones
>>28517465
Dan wesson is kewl also>>28518907
>>28519101
game breaker it is
I got a question, there any new break top revolvers being made?
>>28514163
Start buying colt snake guns, everything else is just shit as far as quality and value over time.
Smiths are ok, but the voluntary Hillary hole really detracts from new model value. It is also a reminder of what happens when dems start getting seats in the Senate and house.
>>28521392
Uberti makes a no. 2 Schofield.
Satin stainless or matte stainless?
>>28521392
I still have my grandfathers old Lemon Squeezer...Don't want to shoot it, though I'm sure it would be fine.
>>28516358
muh dick
>>28514163
Colt Python, Dan Wesson, Mateba, or Korth
Those are the only revolvers worth owning.
