Hey /k/,

Going to cabelas tomorrow.

What 22lr should I buy?

XT-22TR or Ruger American Rimfire.

I have a 10/22.

American is 300 and xt is 220 bucks.

I want a bolt 22lr

Also future purchase thread.
>>
i have the ruger, i like it, takes 10/22 and doesn't afraid of anything.

i want to get a 110 round drum for the lulz.
>>
It's a 10/22 dude. Buy whatever's cheapest that doesn't look like it will explode on you.
Unless it has some specific feature like the Ruger Takedown model, it doesn't fucking matter.
>>
>>28455837

takes 10/22 mags*
>>

wat. I have a 10/22 and want a bolt action. Please read anon. I know your probably tired from work and I appreciate the reply but plz.
>>
>>28455837
Is it worth the extra 80 dollars over the marlin?
>>
PTR 91 is the next gun on my list. Or an SA58. I don't know which
>>
>>28455938

no idea, never touched the marlin
>>
Thinking my future purchase for my first gun would be either a LCR Ruger or a judge. Or fine a nice used revolver, hopeful a S&W or colt. Might buy a pocket pistol with it as well.
>>
>>28455799

Savage MK II

Just do it.
>>

I keep hearing their stocks and mags are super cheapo.

my buddy has the xt 22 with a wood stock and detachable mag. it is a damn pretty rifle, you should get it, purely for the aesthetics.

As if you can afford a good one

Now a ruger or a s&w I can get behind

im probably gonna get a hipoint 9mm in march or april.

im still debating on getting the 9mm or the .45 acp model,

>the c9 has issues feeding hollerpoints but i own the 9mm carbine so ill have common ammo for both guns which right now is ~400 9mm fmj
>the .45 acp is a fuck huge hand cannon that holds more rounds than a 1911 and its a damn .45

shit nigger ill just get both problem solved
>>
>>28456066
You can mod 1911 mags to fit the fuddy five.

why does everyone hate on hipoint? theyre damn near indestructible, will run just about any ammo, amazing warranty/customer service, and theyre made in america. plus they believe the 2nd amendment applies to poor people too.

Of the two you've listed go with the ruger. The cross compatability with your 10/22 mags is fantastic. If your leaning towards the marlin just go with the savage fv then order a Rhineland stock. The marlins I've handled and shot didn't perform like i would hope.

Does anyone have experience with the mk II pro varmint with the adjustable comb? I'm considering getting one as my current riser placement absolutely kills my neck when I'm shooting downhill prone. Or should I just use limbsavers to increase the length of pull?

I have no 9mm handgun yet despite having my CCL. I also have no battle rifle. Should I get a striker fired 9mm to carry (was thinking a glock 19) or a PTR91 later this spring/summer?

OP here went to Cabelas today.

Didn't end up buying anything.

The xt-22 was okay but was gunked up with weird white shit in the reciever cover holes and the stock was sorta beat up.

The stainless one they had had retardedly canted sights.

I felt up a 22wmr ruger american rimfire and it felt really good. I liked the sight picture and cheekweld. Sadly they were sold out of 22lr and the nearby dicks had one with a canted front sight.

In other news I felt two cz centerfire rifles. Not sure if it was just because of the weight of the larger rifle but the american style cz stock I felt felt way more comfy to shoulder than euro style humpback stock.

I wish cz made a 455 american with irons. That shit was so cash to feel up. The one I saw was a 223 model but it felt so good just to hold.

The ruger was also very nice however. Now I have a hard decision ahead of me.

Although Adam Savage does typically use Macintosh computers and the keys don't appear to be the ones from his EDC video on Tested.
The walet looks right for what he typically carries and what he said he likes in the same video.

But the multi tool holster appears to be spot on exactly like the one he has.
>>
Here are my future purchases:

>SCAR 17
>CMP Garand
>TBT XM8 kit
>some AR components
>maybe a 7.62x54r Vepr

I'm in the process of forming my trust. If it's done soon, I'm going to get the ball rolling on some Form 1 and Form 4s for SBRs and suppressors in the hopes that they'll be in before 41p goes into affect.

Exactly. The C9 has got to be the most aesthetically displeasing handgun out there. That being said, the Carbine is actually not bad looking and functions pretty well. My roomate has one and its fun as fuck, and decently accurate.

You can't see your impacts past 100 yards.

Furthermore, you'll need a scope if you wanna reach +300 yards for proper elevation. Beyond 250, consider a 20MOA rail.

Here is the cad file I'm working with for the kydex. The corner radii is set at .125" because I am working with 1/16" kydex. The embedded file is set to print 1:1, so then just cut out, and use spray adhesive to attach it to the kydex for cutting.

To varify that it printed in the proper scale, the furthest left dotted line should be .5" away from the black line to the right of it.

>>

Though I never really shot my Savage MkII past 100 or so yards, my irons really did well on my Savage, I often referred to it as my laser. In fact they were so good I was very apprehensive to put a scope on. I also do prefer my wood stock to the plastic ones on the ones that my friend owned, but they didn't seem too bad. I've also never had a problem with magazines, I quite like them. That's been my experience with the MKII, it's one of my favourite rifles in my collection.

Speaking of the Model 60, are the current production models good? I'm thinking of picking one up to add to the collection, because I've heard the accuracy and feeding are both really good.
