Get a SCAR-17S, and for that money you can upgrade your SCAR with a nice aftermarket rail, trigger, optics, sling, etc.
Or if you want to roleplay as a Rhodie, buy a FAL, which tend to be leagues cheaper. Only issue is they tend to chew up brass, same with PTR-91s and Pre-B HK91s.

Well I'm assuming you want it to be a semi-auto .308. Take a look at the lmt mws. Less than half the price and it's also not a piece of shit. Was the British army's dmr for a while before they switched to a long barreled sa 80. New Zealand also used it but I believe theirs had a longer barrel. Also it looks really cool.

SCAR 17 is cheaper and basically better in every way. I say that as a huge H&K fan, but the MR series are just huge fuck ups on H&K's part. We want 416s and 417s and they deliver a watered down variant.
Not to mention you're stuck with proprietary magazines either way and $30-40 FNH mags beat $90+ HK mags.
If you're Mr. Moneybags though then the SR-25 ACC trounces either.

I have a PSA that functions well and chews through anything I feed it. That said, I bought one of their blem lowers and the magazine well wasn't flared enough at the bottom, so it doesn't accept pmags. Not a big deal, but just know that if you're going to be a cheap merchant moron like me and trade quality for price wherever possible, they have a fairly liberal definition of "cosmetic blemish".
