Thanks to Hickock it's very easy to understand the differences between standard and subsonic ammunition, particularly 5.56.
I did not even think about the issues with cycling it would cause. Blew my mind that I overlooked it.

I learned that the M1/M1A/M14 design is a little worse in muddy/dirty conditions than I expected.
I also learned that Kel-Tec is capable of making amazing, reliable firearms (they just don't normally do it).
