Check out Mega Modern Combat Tactics torrent for a pamphlet on how to do it, or look it up on jewtube. I'm pretty sure someone on the files put together a guide as well.
If you want it to hold up, you will need a chrome lined barrel (CHF vs button rifled is meaningless, you just want chrome lining not nitriding), and a BCG from a military style rifle like a WASR, not one designed for semi auto (softer metal deforms quickly under full auto)
That said an AK is relatively less fun to use FA, an AR is much more controllable and accurate in bursts

They have light triggers and no safeties. Though you should practice trigger discipline, holstering your weapon must be done carefully. This is even more dangerous when under stress, say after actually having to use your gun.
They also aren't as reliable as many claim. I've had more stovepipes in my glock than any other weapon I own, and there have been some that blew up (hence the glocknade meme) and they have plastic guide rods that can break. They were high tech when they came out 30 years ago, but they haven't added any features since then, so outdated as well.
