For a carry pistol, preferably striker fired, is there anything that can compare?
>>
>>28443614

It's a great gun, but finding a holster to carry it comfortably for any length of time (that is under $100) has been a challenge. I carry a beater M8 from time to time.

I would kill for a modernized poly-lower M13.

To answer your question, I haven't found anything comparable.

>price of pistol upwards of 2k
>can't find a cheap holster

What is wrong with you?
>>
>Carrying a $2500 gun

Have fun with the holster wear or having it rust away in a police evidence locker if it ever gets used.

There's a reason people carry Shields and Lel-Keks

>current price is upwards of 2k
>not being 18

When I purchased mine, they weren't that much. The P7 PSP trade in I use I picked up for ~$700, and my beater M8 I got for about $900. It uses the same holster as the M13.

I don't have an issue with paying for a nice holster. I really wanted some modern holster maker to make one (Gcode comes to mind, but they weren't doing any custom stuff last I checked).

>>28444343
This is why I don't carry them too much anymore.

Statistically, I'll never be involved in a shooting.
If I were to beat the odds, I'd want to shoot someone with a fucking P7.

I do a lot of consultation work with law firms, etc. (IT and systems integration). I do my best to not dress like your standard neck-bearded basement dweller / IT support guy.

Tailored suit + sharkskin leather holster +P7. Looks great, never really get a 2nd glance at most offices, even if I take off the jacket.

Here is a 'P7T' I picked up a while back. My nills went on it until I could replace the cracked factory plastics.

I passed up one of those comp'd models a few years ago. Its one of the biggest gun regrets I have. Haven't seen one since.

I did pick up a K3 recently, though.....and I thought I would never see one again!

I had good results with the Comp-Tac holster I used to carry my P7 in. I eventually quit carrying it due to issues with surface rust forming on the magazine body and along the grip panels despite daily application of oil and eventually grease.
>>
>>28444777
The M8 I carry is NP3 treated. Ford's Coatings is who I sent it to - they have someone on staff that knows how to take one apart, etc. I sent 3 magazines (all I had at the time) with it, too. I don't have any rust issues on it.

>>28444833
>based Np3
that man cares
>>
>>28444833
My heart will quit before that finish does. I wouldn't recommend it if your gun is in great (original) shape. Most HK snobs I meet look at me like I rattle-canned it.
>>
>>28444833
I considering having that done but I just couldn't warrant it with the original finish in such good condition. I opted to retire it from carry duty instead and choose something I cared less about.
>>
>>28444868
I've got Birdsong Black-T on mine. Not as illustrious, but some nice rust insurance.

Not my idea, bought it that way.
>>
>>28443614
>carrying a $1,000+ hand ghat

That shit is going to get "confiscated" and subsequently "lost" if you ever need to use it or, best case scenario, left to languish in an un-climate controlled evidence room for years and rusted to shit.

You're probably trolling OP, but if not, just pack a fucking PF9 or something cheap that still goes bang.
>>
>>28444990
Not trolling at all.
I'm looking for a pistol that is
Retardedly safe
Amazing trigger
Adequate capacity

Not sure anything else fits the bill.
>>
>>28445042
You can't go much safer than a p7.
>>
>>28445042
>Retardedly safe
Pretty much any pistol with a manual safety...maybe an XD since you seem fond of grip safeties.
>Amazing trigger
M&P or Glock with an after market trigger, the price of which will still be hundreds of dollars lower than what your P7 is worth.
>Adequate capacity
Literally any pistol designed after 1980.

Personally I would recommend the M&P with a DCAEK from Apex

>This shit's expensive though, let me get the cheap one
>>
>>28445193
It's not expensive because it's the most "operator" handgun, far from it, the design's actually very low-speed high drag (heel mag release) it's expensive because it's rare and no longer in production.

Be autistic somewhere else.

I like the gun, I think you should carry it. I was commenting on these two who are apparently in so many gunfights they need cheap disposable guns

This guy has a deep IWB holster specifically for the P7, and it's extremely comfortable. I love mine. It was 75 when I got it. I see it's 100 now... RIP.

>>28444306
I got my PSP for 650.
>>
>>28445121
It's a grip to put the pistol in battery, not merely a safety.
The p7 has a trigger that a 1911 or custom CZ would love.
>>
>>28445293
The entire point of a carry piece is to use it when you need it and if it does get used, it will languish in a locker or worse...so use something you can stand to part with. If the gun's just a man purse to you then fine more power to you, just don't cry if you ever use it and don't see it again.

>>28445327
I wasn't that impressed when I shot my friend's P7, it wasn't terrible but it wasn't anything to write home about.
>>
>>28445349
>>28445293
I stopped carrying mine when a friend made me realize that "if the police respond and tell you to drop it on concrete, what do you do?"

the answer was "cry".

So I went and got a different carry gun. Still shoot the P7 though. I love it.
>>
>>28445406
Get it refinished
>>
>>28443614
Well, considering the Walther CCP is the modern polymer equivalent (with the same gas-retarded blowback operation, yet costing about $1,500 less), yes, I think there are comparable options out there.
>>
>>28445842
But is the trigger as good
And that grip to cock is safer
