Unless Boeing has addressed this problem in the past four years, the NLG drag brace is prone to shit the bed due to repeated carrier landings with a full combat load. Other than a few more problems regarding jamming capabilities that I'm not at liberty to discuss, it's a great EW platform, that should serve us well into this century.

The ALQ-99 is really just a maintenance intensive system, also a few of the transmitters are in extremely limited supply, with no way to produce new ones. They've tried, but can't get them to work, it's like the transmitters for this particular band run on fucking magic or something.

Not really, It can use fuel tanks to go farther than the F-35 can go stealthily. Conformal fuel tanks could get it to F-35 range if bought.

Payload is not what's important for a dedicated electronic fighter. Even then it has a super hornets payload minus the wing tip stations so it's no slouch.
