pvc bows are cheap as dirt, durable, and easy to make. The first bow I made I fucked up and burnt the pvc, but the 2nd bow was a 45 pound recurve that shoots surprisingly well.

Surprisingly well meaning it can actually shoot well enough to hit things. check out backyward bowyer's videos to see how good pvc bows can be.
