Chamber. 2 3/4 win hvl lead 00 buck
Followed by 3 win elite segmented slugs (they fragment upon impact)
And lastly 2 win 3in super x 00 buck

Mossberg 500, 2 2/3" magnum 00 buckshot, 3" 1 ounce slug, 2 2/3" magnum 00 buckshot, 1 3" 1 ounce slug, 1 2 2/3" magnum 00 buckshot, 1 3" APDS
Tube is packed with Federal Tactical #1 .30-caliber 15-pellet buckshot along with five loose rounds on nightstand to shove into pocket and top off the chamber
Receiver-mount sidesaddle is 4 more #1 buck, two Federal TruBall rifled slugs
Buttstock shell carrier has 5 Winchester Elite PDX1 segmented rifled slugs. Federal slugs used to sit there but the tanning salts/acids in the leather were making the brass impersonate the Statue of Liberty.
I don't want that green slime gunking up my chamber so the Federal slugs got hit with Flitz polish and thrown into the range rotation of old self-defense shells.
Time will tell if the blackening on the Winchester brass can resist the tanning acids. If it doesn't, then I'm going to try a tiny bit of NuFinish Car Polish.
Sling is ten more federal #1 buckshot, five more Tru-Ball slugs.

I like Federal 00 buck loads. I'm not comfortable enough with my KSG to retire my 500 from its bump-in-the-night role.

It's a dry-film lube on top of blackened brass for anti-corrosion. You mostly see it on duck hunting rounds.

I like to start off with a been bag round. Get them knocked off their feet and down the stairs followed by a custom steel wool and wax load.
