/k/, how many guns do you own, and what is your rationale (if any) for owning that many?
One.
It's all I need to defend my house and conceal carry.
I do plan on getting an AR though
>>28406843
Six, because I just started owning and freedom
4 rifles, 3 pistols. I own them because I enjoy turning money into smoke, noise and fun.
Also because I can so fuck you.

I like guns
>>28406843
Atf/Bradycampaign/hillary/california/mothersfordefenselesscitizens pls go.
I have a break action single shot 12 gauge, a Marlin goose gun, a winchester 1300, a Mossberg .410 pump, a Marlin model 60, a Winchester 94AE, an M91/30, and a Walter PPX. I really want to hock the .410 and the single shot, but the .410 won't sell for much and the single shot is practically worthless since I hacked it up. I really want a 5.45 AK soon but these prices are ridiculous.
A Revolver because my Grandpa gave it to me and I can't bear to sell it
A handgun for everyday carry
An AR-15 for pretending to operate innawoods cause hunting around here sucks ass
and a .22 bolt action because I like to shoot squirrels in my garden
>inb4 fag for having a garden
nigga my tomatoes taste great with spaghetti
14
I like um and collect
Almost had 15 today but forgot cash to bring cash to the gun show went to and missed out on getting an M-900 Calico
>>28406843
3 pistols, a .40, a .45, and a broke .22 target pistol I inherited when a family member died, and a AR15. No justification needed, cause 'Murica
>>28406843
A lot
Because I want to.
>>28406927
forgot to bring cash*
god damn it's been a long day.
3
A 22lr marlin plinker
A nugget
A side by side 12g shotgun
Full range there without spending too much
Don't see the purpose of a pistol
>>28406843
11
5 rifles, 6 hand guns. I like guns, so I buy them.
4, but adding more as I can. I intend to buy what I consider to be "the essentials" at a minimum. Modern rifle (AR or AK platform), 12 gauge shotgun, pistol, 22 rifle, and a bolt rifle in a common larger caliber.
>>28407018
pistol wise, do you have .40, 9mm and a revolver caliber covered?
NSA plz go
>>28407041
>implying the NSA couldn't just instantly compare all of our IPs and the physical address they resolve to with background checks for gun buys
Zero. Because I will kill myself with it.
I only own one right now, an AR, but I plan on buying one or two pistols also.
They're fun
12 and I want more
BECAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO
>>28406843
>Living in Commiefornia
Sorry judge and officers, I just lost all my guns in a boating accident.
>>28406843
I have two Mosins, a Mauser (I'm starting to collect ww2 bolt actions) and a Remington 870 Express. Working on getting a Remington R1
Dad has a few hunting rifles from his youth, a .22 Ruger, a Walther P99, and a break action shotgun.
Don't know about my dad. But for me, I like collecting, and shooting. Fuck you, that's another good reason.
>>28406843
Eight so far.
Preparing for the surface incursion by the inner-earth people.
8 guns. But not really by informed choice at the beginning.
First guns I bought were a tacticool .22lr rifle and a 9mm HiPoint. Reselling them with their low used prices isn't worth the trouble so I just keep em. .22lr rifle for plinking, 9mm for self-defense.
Since the rifle was shit, I ended up buying a better replacement. The same happened for the HiPoint, not because it was less reliable but because of pure ergonomics. It feels like shit in my hand. Bought a fullsize duty DA/SA 9mm to replace it.
So that's half of the guns out of the gate. After that, all the guns I bought had a purpose.
1. 12g Shotgun home defense/hunting
2. .22lr pistol for plinking/handgun training
3. 308 cal long-range hunting rifle with optics
4. AR-15 intermediate caliber semiauto riot defense
Future plan to get guns
5. 9mm striker type CCW handgun
6. 357 magnum revolver for fun at the range (handles 38sp for plinking and maybe bear defense for the 357mag)
7. 22lr/22wmr revolver also for plinking
8. 44mag or 30-30 lever action to complete my Americanization process and a better appreciation of different gun action types, also, it's a fucking lever action
So with the other guns I already have, I may end up with a total of 12 guns, 10 with different uses and 2 just wasting away in oil and storage. If I didn't make a mistake, I'd probably just have 9 or 10. If I decide later that plinking with revolvers and lever actions isn't worth it, then I'll have a maximum of 9 guns. So technically speaking, I'm one gun away from completing my "practical purposes" checklist.
>>28407148
How good is the Walther P99?
>>28406843
42
because old guns are interesting and fun to make ammo for and shoot
14 + a complete ar lower I haven't decided on an upper for.
Why? Because I can and I enjoy shooting them.
>>28407035
9mm. I never claimed to be a rich man, and if you can't afford to practice, you can't afford the gun. (Bonus points for it being a NATO round and therefore produced forever and ever)
>>28407401
Fuck off ATF
2. An XD45 Compact for the house and a Glock 26 for carry and in the living room.
30ish, because I can
>>28407293
Not the poster you are replying to but I love mine. Friends I take shooting always comment how well it fits in the hand. Surprisingly concealable too, even in Arizona weather.
>>28406843

Henry .22lr repeater
Iver Johnson .38 that was evidently a Florida Highway Patrolman's carry piece
Bastard AK partsgun built on what once was a MAK-90 which has now transformed into the ultimate wasteland gun
AR-180 because fuck you
can post pics if people are interested, but otherwise;
I own them because I like collecting things and cold war firearms design is my shit.
>>28406843
Alot
Because I can
>>28406860
I own three firearms currently.
I've got an AR coming in the mail. And hopefully a second AR soon.
>I do plan on getting an AR though
Makes me feel good to hear you say that. Make sure to budget some money for ammo, range time, and if you can some shooting courses.
>>28408085
Fuck off m8. This Nigga straight
11; shit's fun yo.
>>28407293
My dad recently got it because of the whole "I'm getting old anon, I can't just kick someone's ass like I could in my 20's anymore." He's only put a few rounds in it but tomorrow he's gonna go put a few more through it.
14
I like guns and I hunt.

16 total
2 12ga for 3-gun
7 handguns, four for competition (2 primaries, 2 backups)
7 rifles, 2 for competition, 2 hunting, 3 milsurp because reasons
Just one, a Chinese Mosin, the Type 53 carbine. Haven't shot her yet. Going to start an AR build soon, and hopefully acquire glocknade sometime thereafter, so I have the basics covered.
>>28406843
2 Rifles, 3 Hand guns. 1 Shotgun my soon-to-be-ex-WIFE took.
Each has a different focus and use. 22 LR Pinker, 5.56 AR Modified for 600-700 Yard usage case, 22lr Revolver, 40 cal Compact, and Colt Delta Elite (10mm).
>>28407503
See, that's good thinkin right there. No point if you can't practice. No caliber gonna help you if you miss

It should be. It was expressly designed to be concealed

Never too drunk to shitpost
Three rifles, two handguns - I intend to get more, perhaps one new gun a year. 2016's might be a CZ RAMI or maybe a double-barrel shotgun.

goddommot, why does my brain assign its own audio track in my mind?

Are you me? This is literally me, word for word.
>>28408304
Good god. Do you at least win anything from these competitions?
>>28408146
Post wasteland fun
>number
14 firearms, but 18 total "guns" with airguns included
probably more like 20 firearms, but never really count inherited stuff towards my total or include them in arsenal pics
>rationale
I like to collect things that are cool, and stock up on ammo when it's cheap. They're really interesting to me both in how the guns work, and what different bullets to inside and to different types of targets.
>>28406843
1 and another pending...thanks CA
>>28409301
If you have an AR, SKS, Mauser, CZ75, and S&W .357, then yes you are me.
Zero, because Australia.
I'll probably finally go for my licence when I move. Trying to find a place to rent at the moment.
>tfw you lost all your guns in a boating accident
≈60 I've heard too many stories about people regretting selling guns. That being said, I want to liquidate about 20 of them, 40 is a good number.
>>28406960
Seriously? Of all guns, you don't seethe need for a PISTOL???
Around 50 or so.
Because I can.
Liquid assets.
Fun.
Timesink.
Good to have on a boat.
>>28407073
Implying that I use my own IP for 4chan
4 pistols and 4 rifles. they all do something different and I will be getting more.
>>28406843
40+
Because I can & I enjoy competitive shooting & hunting, even though my hunting choices are limited
Only three so far. .40 duty-size, 9mm single-stack compact for CC, and just bought a shotgun yesterday. Thinking AR next, then 10/22, then 1911.
>>28406925
fuck your reddit memes
>>28406843
2 Shotguns, both 12 GA Winchester model 37A
3 Revolvers, Arminius .22, S&W Model 10, Colt New Service .45
2 Semi-auto pistols, FNS-9 and Bodyguard 380
2 AR-15's, both in 5.56, one 16" with a red dot, one 20" scoped.
4 bolt guns, an Iver Johnson Single Safety .22, Marlin model 25, Enfield No1 MK3*, and a Krag.
So that's 13 in all. 4 of them were from my grandfather, 2 of them were from my great grandfather and the other 2 were from my father, so I've only really bought 5 myself.
I'll probably be picking up another shotgun soon. I'd like a 12GA pump.
>>28413412
No. I think they are silly
>>28413748
How do you compete in pistol leagues then? My life would be woefully empty without my leagues.
9. 3 rifles, 3 shotguns, 3 pistols.
33, kinda stuck on what i want next.
>>28413756
I don't compete at all
1 AR put together myself
2 shotguns mossy and H&R single shot for shits and giggles
1 Remington 783
1 single shot .22 Ithica had it since I was 9
Grandpa's Marlin 66
Pistol is in the works next
If you count pre-1899s, 154. Otherwise, 22.
Reasoning would be I am addicted to Winchester 1886s and shoot skeet and hunt.
>>28411533
Why were you boating with all of your guns?
>>28414310
Dunno about him, but I like them all so much that I can never pick just a few.
None; God will protect me or let me die, not much I can do about that either way, and I don't hunt.
I do keep someone else's shotgun in my closet for legal reasons, but I have no shells for it.
3. All of which I inherited.
1. My dad's S&W 3916. Single stack 9mm, not bad for CC. Which I've never done. Totally. Gonna keep it.
2. My Grandad's Makarov. He's a slav, so go figure. Gonna keep that one.
3. My Grandad's Winchester 1897, he cut the barrel down to 18". My Uncle said he kinda wanted it, he is his son after all. Might trade it to him.
My Grandad also left me a trunk full of slavshit gear, so I'm probably gonna pick up a DDI or something after my contract is up.
