What's the best convertible mitten glove for winter operations?

For shooting in the cold, I think these are better than gloves with the trigger finger tip cut off and stuff. Anyone own a pair they love?

Those finger parts look mighty thin for winter operating.

I just used some cheap-ass winter work gloves + undergloves during conscription inna FDF and they worked just fine.

For real cold weather and night-time guard duty in -30C pic related combo.

Where can I find gloves in pic 2? I've never seen those before
>>
>>28405007
I'm imagining finnish rifles being made with a trigger and trigger guard that is operated by sticking your whole hand in and squeezing, like a giant bicycle break handle

What I usually do with convertible mittens is buy them a size bigger, and wear thin gloves under. You then have a double glove and then a mitten on top.

Best of all worlds, because maximum dexterity within less than a second is what I find I need. Three-finger gloves and such aren't as warm or as dextrous as a convertible, and take longer to take off when near-bare or bare finger is required.

You can't. FDF property.

Personally though I'd recommend Woolpower mittens. They don't have the separate finger, but they're pretty good and I think they're sold in the US as well.

The gloves give enough way for you to put your finger inside the RK62 trigger guard. It's a bit clumsy but you can easily shoot that way.

That's still going to be cold as fuck in any real cold weather.

Nothing stops you from putting an additional overmitten when it gets actually really fucking cold.

SIG has you beat
SG 510, it folds down and IAN OUR LORD AND SAVIOR has a video on it.
>>
>>28405099
But there's no need for mittens if it's not really fucking cold. Unless you're working with explosives or something and need to warm your hands up between things.

I'm canuck. It gets cold.

The magazines we have are pinned, therefore they need to be loaded more often.

I need to put tiny objects inside a spring-loaded box in the cold.

I need to be able to slip some lightly-covered fingers out of heavy mittens very quickly, load up mags, and put the mitts back on, then slip a single finger for the trigger and be able to slip it back in to warm it up.

I need good convertible mittens.

If you still need more glove, get another pair to wear over the two you already have on.

You can read right?

Alternatively you can get two pairs to wear under a much larger convertible glove. Then you just put the convertible glove on when it is really cold.

>>28405403
Really any would work as long as you wear larger ones with smaller non-convertible gloves underneath.
>>
>>28405438
what brands and models though

sorry about the confusion, alcohol is involved
>>
>>28405449
Again it doesn't really matter. Pretty much all brands will be good. I prefer plainer gloves like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Hot-Headz-Polarex-Glomitts-Glove/dp/B002NQURE8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1451783375&sr=8-2&keywords=convertible+gloves

Then I wear the green glove "liner" I got when I was in the military under that.

>>28404848
Get yourself a pair of either heated gloves or a box of handwarmers.
>>
>>28405518
Price range is fairly open, I don't mind spending on good gear that will last and be warm.

no

I'm using these

A bit loose, so not fit for super serious operating, but there's nobody that serious here anyway

index finger mittens/ shooting mittens/ trigger mittens

There are US army issue trigger finger mittens that you should be able to find surplus for cheap.
