they are made of higher quality materials, are more comfortable, and actually make an effort to cover the fucking trigger. google aliengear trigger coverage and youll find a shit load of reviews showing nearly no trigger coverage.

There is no "best" holster.
Like there's no "best" gun or "best" carry position.
It's all gonna come down to preference and trial and error.
Personally I like appendix IWB and have an NSR tactical, but the wait time is ridunculous.

Aight, how does that thing feel when you wear it? I have been thinking about one of those for a Sphinx, but have not pulled the trigger bc kydex, kydex errywhere looks a lot less comfortable than a N82 Tactical holster, which I love with a deep and unreasonable passion.

The retention mechanism is pretty weak, it's just poorly constructed. There is a lot of play in the thumb drive that releases the hood.
I'm gonna be looking to cc in hot weather in a few months when I turn 21. Is picking out holsters really a trial and error type thing? I'm most likely going to go with appendix. Still looking into several guns.

Pretty much, what works for one will not work for all.
Gcode holster - glock 19, it was alright but not really impressed.
Alien gear- own the gen 2, I happy for what it is, free she'll swaps if I buy I different gun and lifetime warranty.

Never had any issues with mine. Went through 2 or 3 holsters before I ordered mine and I love it and use it every day. Mag caddy can get annoying at times when sitting for long periods of time.
Worth it though. I'm 6'2 and 175lbs and can conceal my glock 19 easily in jeans and a tee.

I made my own kydex holster. Great retention, covers trigger well, and I was able to make it exactly how I wanted it for exactly the position I wanted it. Only cost 75-100 bucks to get all the stuff to make it.

Plus it changes based on what you are wearing.
One holster works best for blue jeans, another works best with dress slacks, etc.
You'll need to have a few holsters for your main carry gun.

This is what I am deciding to do.
I just bought the kydex and plastic loops and scrap leather for around $30.
I have 3 old faithful holsters. Bout to buy another one for my new 1911.
Duct tape it to your penis. If you have a prehensile penis like I do then keep it loaded unless your penis is extremely strong, I can disable the safety, aim and fire but lack the penile strength to cycle most pistols.
