So /k/, I'm getting a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 creedmoor. Long story short I'm in commiefornia so no leaded ammo for hunting, all lead free ammo is expensive so I might as well go for 6.5 creedmoor. I can't afford a more expensive rifle because I have to spend so much on ammo no matter what calibre I choose.
My question is what are the best scopes and scope mounts for this set up and for the money?
My price range is $100 give or take $50.

I put that extra shit at the beginning in there because when I originally posted a thread about this rifle in this calibre it devolved into people asking me why I would buy a budget rifle in an expensive calibre.

Er..just don't shoot as much? One box should get you through a season if you're not a nitwit.

Let me put it this way.
I have a budget of about $700 for a new hunting setup.
The gun is gonna be at least $450 after shipping, taxes, and the FFL fee. So I'll be safe and call it $500. A good scope will most likely costs me at least about $125 after shipping and taxes. so that leaves me with $75 dollars. not a lot of wiggle room when a 20 round box costs $50.

Also good job managing to get off topic on the first post. I put that tidbit there specifically to PREVENT people from doing that.

What if he wants to shoot his gun?

now why would you want to do that
tasco 3x9

>people actually spend over a thousand dollars on a magnifying glass

do not put a tasco on your 6.5....I recommend Primary Arms or Vortex. Spend a little extra and get at least a half way decent optic.

>$150 scope budget
At the $100-200 range you might as well get a red dot.
Cheap scopes are not worth the trouble.

Sir, you have fine taste.
Hunting?
Nikon Buckmaster II 3-9x40
Long range shooting?
Nikon Buckmaster II 4-12x40
Scope weight makes a significant difference when stalking game, I've made this mistake with a .270
Nikon mounts
Put a Nikon P-223 3-9x40 w/matching mounts on my AR. Never had a scope so nice.
Ain't sayin much, though. Never had a nice scope before.
This post won't let you down.

Is that the rifle that has the action copied directly from Tikka T3 line?
