CBC/Magtech is really shitty ammo. You should only use it for your FTF/FTE training.

I've put about 300 rounds of CBC through two AR-308's. It's worse than Tula. Main issue is they're loaded light and won't reliably cycle either action. Half of it was fine (magazine fed 100%) and the other half was 50+% issues (it ejects but fails to feed) out of the same magazines. That was CBC from a few times purchasing it (only stuff I could find for <$1/rd back in 2012) and it was completely awful. The Tula works better (maybe 1:50 to 1:100 has issues) while the Federal XM80, PMC Bronze, ZQI M80, Winchester M80, and others have had no notable issues. Two guns, no shared parts, and having issues regardless of how clean/dirty and dry/lubed.
>>
>>28395421
That seriously sucks... I have had great luck with the .223 77gn cbc, but haven't shot much of the 308. I will have to go through a box of it to see what happens. I might just try to sell it to some poor fool if it is as bad as you say.

I mostly have a massive stockpile like that because my nearest walmart is an hour away along with my lgs, so I always buy in bulk, I shoot a lot so I will eventually go through all of that but I always make sure to replace what I shoot so I never fall into a panic buy trap or anything like that.

I use painters tape to label my cans, in case I need them for another caliber or something down the line.
Just makes it easier to change it if need be.

Besides he always post in ammo threads. The dude is absolutely loaded with the stuff.

Everybody starts with one box of ammo and builds on it anon. You've probably got more ammo than 98% of /k/ combined.

Pro tip: sharpie comes off with 3 or 4 good swipes of a magic eraser. Then you can save your painters tape for painting.

There are two possible responses.

If option 1, then you're good to go. If option 2, then don't take that cunt to the range.

It's some of the cheapest, dirtiest ammo, but it's not shitty. It's made by the same folks that make CCI, Speer, etc. I've never had a malfunction with it. Sounds like your guns are fucked up or picky as hell if it gives you malfunctions.

Related but not:

Thinking of selling my .41 Magnum Ruger to raise funds BUT the "anchor" is 100s of rounds of Georgia Arms Ammo. I doubt if I can resell the ammo (I'm new to this area and no friends will but it off of me), and I can't just waste it at the range.
Suggestion?
>>
>>28399885
How much do you want for it?
>>
>>28400088
"As much as possible". Given that, I'm willing to sell it but I want to sell it w/ammo. It's a 1973 model.
MY GUNSAMERICA DESCR.: Ruger New Model Blackhawk .41 Magnum Set 4-5/8" BLUED, Factory Holster w/Ruger logo stamp, Two Sets of Grips (factory walnuts, factory black checkered plastic). Asking $350 + $30 s/h to your local FFL.
Not sure how many Ga. Arms rounds I have, likely 200-400 @$25/50 rds. I'd want to sell it *all* as a package. To buy, you'd agree to a bill of sale and FFL/background check. My KIK is nuts_bolts.

Mostly the same as always since I piled the bulk of it 4 or 5 years ago and have mostly been keeping numbers steady after that.
The bottom right crate is 1680rds of golden tiger, it fits almost perfectly. The spam can below the half 54r & zq 308 can is more bulgarian 54r. Russian for the psl, bulgy and a side of hungarian heavy ball steel core for plinking. Being steel core, it has a really long bullet to get the heavy ball weight.

Normally first time or two with some one I will pay for it. After that I will ask them which guns they want to shoot, then tell them to buy the ammo for them, giving details of caliber and a couple local places to get it.

If it's spur of the moment I accept lunch or dinner in return. With close friends I tend not to worry about it because it's just a cost of life thing to have fun with friends.

The best range buddies bring their own guns and ammo.
>>
>>28404674

Also, to add to this.

If it's a milsurp gun with an odd caliber requirement, normally I will ask for a few bucks to help with it, or for lunch/dinner once again.

I also enjoy shooting a friends gun if they shoot mine.

Of course once again this requires having friends that bring guns.
