Whaddup /k/
I'm looking to buy a cheap single shot break action 12ga, would like to keep it under 300. Is that price even possible? If it is, where would I buy such a thing? Pic unrelated

if you looked hard you could keep it under $30.

You can find new rossi 12g ones at around 170~ at academy. Or a used Stevens one at local pawnshops for 70-120

Used prices vary, but are usually low for anything that's isn't a clays gun like a BT-99 or BT-100.
Recommended above was the EEA/USSG 12ga: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/37_229/products_id/59507/USSG+12+Ga.+Single+Shot+w28%22+BarrelModified+ChokeBlack+Sy
Another option new production option is the New England/H&R single, available at WalMart for something like $150 or $170.
I would look for local used, avoiding older Savage/Stevens.
OP here, thanks guys. All helpful information

If you look you can get one for $100. $300 will get you a new quality pump action shotgun.

If you do go used, do you know what to look for so far as potential problems?
A lot of the older single shot shotguns (and small rifles) were modestly priced and their quality reflected that.
