I inherited a H&R WORC. MASS MOD 922 from my grandfather. It's a nice little gun but the cylender will not chamber any 22lr rounds. Anyone hear of this issue before?

is the cylinder dirty as fuck?
>>
>>28382773
I was going to tell you to try .22 short but now idk what the problem is. Have you tried cleaning the cylinder? Maybe it's gunked up
>>
>>28382773
>>28382825
kinda looks like a 22 mag inserted into a 22lr cylinder

These.

Unless maybe the chamber somehow is too thin, in which case I'd see a gunsmith.
>>
Not at all..I cleared them out with a hard wire brush and oil to be sure and it still won't fit the brass casing
>>

post picture of cylinder so we can see
also post picture of ammo
>>
>>28382869
this may be a dumb ass question but are you putting the round in the middle hole or the ones around it?

.22 long projectiles are 0.1mm smaller in diameter than .22lr

No idea..just aquired this gun like a week a ago
>>
>>28382929
So what would you suggest? I am using federal 36 grain hollow points
>>
I recently got an H&R with the same problem. Previous owner has dry fired the gun enough to deform the cylinders. Gonna need some files to grind the cylinders back to the right shape.

here's the cylinder from my h&r 949. The notches on every chamber on yours lead me to believe someone dry fired the shit out of it. someone correct me if i'm wrong though.
>>
>>28382917
looks like it has been dry fired so much it has deformed the cylinder take it to a gunsmith to fix or bubba it yourself.
>>
>>28383054
this, take a small half round file to those dents then get some valve lapping compound, put it on a .22 case and gently twist it, or take it to a gunsmith.
>>
Il look into..thank you all

Post the hammer

This.
Should answer the question of dry-firing really quickly.

That's too bad. Those are fine little kit guns. Mine lives in a pocket sewn inside my fishing vest.
>>
>>28383211
Not a transfer bar but they do have a hammer block. Give away is the little tab behind the trigger on the rear of the guard.

Fuck me did he let a chimpanzee play with it?
