Is there anything wrong with the CZ 75B? Is it too good to be true?
retarded midget slide.
I have a p01. Tis good, though it can be a bit check to detail strip.
>>28366954
>check
I think you mean Czech
>>28366959
I meant a bit of a bitch. Don't know why my phone changed it.
>>28366984
Do you CC your p01?
>>28366934
The finish isn't as pretty as a blued Browning Hi-Power.
It's a little less dependable than a Glock, and you can't drive over the mags with your car.
Has only 1.3% the FTF/FTE's of $2500 1911s, but while the dude with the Kimber is performing his 8th "tap-rack-bang" of the day, he'll tell you 9mm doesn't have any stopping power because in the 1920s some soldiers with .38 caliber revolvers shooting black powder cartridges loaded with hardball couldn't stop a couple of drugged-up, charging Filipinos.
The beavertail can be pokey.
>>28366995
I like your rant. It's a good rant
>>28366995
I got most of that. Except for the FTF thing? 1.3% of what?
Also, thank you for the response.
>>28366934
It's fine.
But just that. Many people like the grip and other ergonomics. I have never had one give me reliability issues. That said, it is not the magic gun of wonder and flawless perfection that many of its fanboys make it out to be.
It is just a gun. If you like the way it shoots, then get one and enjoy it.
Well if it's just 'fine', then what makes a pistol spectacular?
Genuinely curious. I'm new to handguns
>>28366934
I CC the CZ 75 PCR. I love it. Just personally I like the feel of an all metal gun. I like the fact that it's hammer fired. I'm a good shot with it, and I just feel like CZ is my comfy place.
Really that's what you want in a gun. Something you like, are comfortable with, and carry
>>28367059
Ok I plan on carrying it. That's good to know. It's a beautiful gun and it seems to have rock solid reliability. One question, I have pretty large hands. I haven't gone to my LGS yet to hold one. Is it gonna be too small?
>>28367065
You can change the grips to fit any hand size.
I own a 75 sp 01 shadow and it fits my relatively large hands perfectly.
>>28367105
Sweet. I can't wait to hold one. If I like it I'm buying it asap. Thank ya
Love my 75B. Love all my CZs. The 75 is the most accurate, sweetest shooting gun I've owned
>>28367110
I add a picture of the widest grips I have, I posted this once.
Might help you get perspective.
>>28367065
My PCR is a compact. That being said it's got a normal full size grip on it. You can change the grips out but I never have because it fits my hand pretty well. I think I'm pretty average sized. I don't think you'll have an issue.
My advice is to literally feel out the different models. The P-01, PCR, CZ 75 B or BD. Just see which one feels the best and go from there.
>>28366934
Three flaws
>tiny slide:is shit for manipulations
>saftey
>DA/SA
two of these can be overcomed with training
>>28367161
>safety
Always go with the decocker
I ordered the CZ 75 SP-01 tactical the other day. Counting down the days until it arrives.
>>28367170
Or just get a 10mm master race
>>28367059
Exactly the reasons why I got 75B, metal frame hammer fired
>>28367170
>always go with the decocker
why
>>28367225
I don't like carrying the hammer back with the safety on. I'd rather carry one in the tube with the hammer down and DA the first shot. I also don't like havibg to gently lower the hammer onto a live round.
Just my preference. You do what you do /k/omrade
>>28367037
You wouldn't know enough to tell, then.
>>28367245
>You do what you do /k/omrade
exactly
only applies to actually carrying
>>28367065
> new to handguns
> plans on carrying
Hahaha, are you gonna try to join a symphony orchestra before you take your music lesson???
>>28367012
FTF mean "failure to feed" or "failure to fire", while FTE means "failure to extract" or "failure to eject". I was saying that a 1911 was 98 times more likely to jam than a CZ75.
>>28367037
A spectacular pistol has to:
-have the reliability of a Glock
-withstand a lifetime round count of a G.I. 1911
-fit the hand like a Browning Buckmark
-have the recoil impulse of a Margolin MCZ/MTS-3
-have the magazine capacity of a XD(M) 4.5
-have the stopping power of a .454 Casull
-be combat proven as a Browning Hi-Power
-be concealable as a Taurus PT709
-have as much movie/video game cool as an H&K USP
-be priced the same as a Nighthawk Talon II
-but cost you no more than a Makarov
In other words, don't ask /k/. Read and learn, rent guns at your local range, shoot your friends' guns, read and learn some more.
>>28366984
It knows you're talking about master CZ technology and it wanted you to spell out czech republic. You bitch.
>>28367277
this
OP, read that. It would be better for you to shoot a variety of pistols and then learn something about carrying one before buying one. Otherwise, you're going to go buy one and then either feel stupid or end up doing something stupid and making us all look bad.
>>28367170
Shit opinion
>>28367170
He doesn't own a gun and didn't realize the 75b should be carried on half cock.
That or he thinks flicking off a frame mounted safety is an impossible feat
>>28367302
>shit opinion
Well I think your opinion is shit
>>28367282
>in other words, don't ask /k/
This
Read up on the functions and technological developments in pistol hardware over the years
Create a list of desirable attributes
Maybe poke around in your social network for personal experience, ignore most of what they say
Internet reviews are all paid shills, just depends on who's paying what and to whom
Research the companies you like, see what the deal is
Look up local laws
Price is always relevant, caliber and firearm
Go try to rent
Shoot
Fingerfuck
More research on specific pistols
Go jump through hoops to acquire
It's not that trying of a process.

>where did the O go?
>>28366934
It's a bit on the heavy side compared to a modern polymer pistol. Which can also be a plus for some.
>>28367277
PLAN on carrying. Read it again. PLAN. on not gonna fucking carry the minute I get this gun. But I want to carry once I have the experience and knowledge to. I camp a lot and live in a sketchy area. So somewhere down the line I want to carry.
>>28367271
I forget whether or not your country allows carry.
