Hey /k/
A couple of days ago I bought myself a px4 storm in full size and I must say I am extremely impressed with how it performs, how it feels and just generally with the firearm. I do not understand why this weapon is not talked more about, or even used by law enforcement; I mean sure the safety can be a little uncomfortable but it is easily replaceable with low profile ones.

personally I don't like the decocking aspect of the gun. I've owned one, shot it, liked it, but didn't like it enough to keep it.

It's not too bad once you get used to it, it might make racking the slide a little awkward at first but I would say overall this feels great to shoot and even have as an edc firearm
>>28364400
it even was part of my EDC for a while, just that it wasn't what I was wanting in a pistol after having more experience with it.
>>28364486
what did you switch to if you dont mind me asking
>>28364486
You know what's funny? I can tell it's your image from a thumbnail on my phone of an EDC you have not used in months, because of the shit brown fuzz filter.

Polymer hammer fired guns kind of got swept aside by strikers somewhere around the 2000s.
They just didn't catch on/hang around quite as much.
They're out there and there's a few notable exceptions, but strikers have mostly supplanted hammers, especially in polymer guns.
I personally like the PX4 a lot and my main gripe was that they didn't have 92 magazine commonality.

>after having more experience with it.
Just tell the boy the truth.
>>28364524
He carries a PreB CZ75 in a fucking shoulder holster. He quit carrying the beretta after one shooting competition with it.
>>28364547
If the safety was on the frame, or it was just a decocker, and it used beretta 92 mags it would have been gold.
>>28364524
I have switched to my Pre B Cz 75.
>>28364532
yeah, my old HTC M7 was shit, camera wise.
>>28364555
>Just tell the boy the truth.
I did, I competed with it. I found that it was lacking in what my needs are for a pistol and went from there.
>>28364570
No, it wouldn't have. It would have maybe been mildly more popular for those reasons, but even that's a guess.
Again, hammer polymers just aren't in.
Only real exception in H&K and the bulk of their sales are government/LE.
>>28364547
Kinda what this guy said. I love berettas and was contemplating a px4, but I instead went with an M&P9. Manual of arms was just a bit simplier which is what I'm looking for in an EDC, point and click fuctionality.
>>28364592
No shit, I don't think that thing took a single un-fucky picture.
I can't wait to get my 1911's so I can carry an old ass design like you.
>Joking, pre-b is second best handgun ever made.
>>28364598
But
>Hammer fired
>Rotating barrel
>Polymer frame
>SA/DA
It would have been so perfect
>>28364645
I just needed some decent lighting to take a decent pic. This was taken by it.
>>28364683
Edges of the photo still have it.
We shooting this weekend?
>>28364706
yes, I want to test my goofy set up.
>>28364735
Where? I was going to nigger rig a steel hanger that will fit in your car
>>28364740
I was going to say Birchwood, but we can try Whittier if the weather's good enough.
>by the time we shoot, it'll be next year.
>>28364740
or hell, even the improved Knik shooting range.
>>28364781
Think your car can make it?
>>28364824
oh fuck, probably not. I'd rather not waste a trip out there and have to come back, because you definitely have work. Also, I think that I would like to try and go for groupings when I'm shooting.
>>28364853
Agreed, I need to shoot a 100yd group with the AR and do some steel challenge drills with the holster and L120
>>28364867
So, Birchwood or Whittier?
>>28364910
Yep
>>28365013
which one?
>>28365120
ok.
>>28365158
so should I just go full retard and bring my plate carrier out for extra weight?
>>28365175
Why the fuck not, get that operator feel.
>>28365187
you need to buy that cookie cutter.
>>28364307
I love mine, a pistol I don't suck with makes me happy. Stupidly simple too. Never been cleaned aside from the out of the box rub down and it just keeps on truckin.
If I remember correctly they make a variant without the decocker/safety lever.
