Its not a Century, is it? I'm unfamiliar with the gun laws in MD, but Century VZs are $500 guns. Czechpoint cost around a grand, and might be worth it.

MD has an assualt weapons ban, so most cool shit is B& now, like AKs, G3s, FN FALs, their clones, etc.
There are a bunch of guns that made it through, thanks to loopholes, and the legislators generally not knowing a thing about what they are doing , but I am hesitant ( and many of us are) of posting it on the internet and giving the legislators a gift wrapped list of things to ban next.
Obviously the VZ is one of those.

Man it's weird how expensive they've gotten. I got Czechpoint/D-Technik with six mags for $650 years ago. Still good on you for shelling out that much because I absolutely love mine, but tbqh you should have just got a Century as they're alright now and much cheaper. Either way though you'll love your rifle. I'm surprised you actually managed to find one from Czechpoint because they're seemingly constantly out of stock.
I live in MD too. Got a ptr-32 to bypass the ban. Been looking for a czechpoint VZ for my dad but none of the shops in MoCo have them, at least that I've found. Good find.

My LGS said he just got his shipment last week and sells out very quickly. Said he only had 3 more in stock including the display model. I'd have bought a Century 2008 but I am lucky enough that $500 is not going to make or break my budget.

Yup. When I called my LGS and they said they had them in stock, I drove to there straight after I got off work. Would not have bought it if I didn't really want one and I know I'd be kicking myself down the road for not getting it while I had the chance.

What anons were telling you the 2008 was bad lol? was it the >CAI meme? I literally paid $399 for the vz-2008 with surp parts, 5 mags, pouch, and bayonet. Thing is perfect and has never given me any trouble. kek at paying $1050.

I bought the wood from HK parts. Came with black polymer. At $150 it was pricey but I knew what I wanted. You can get the wood stock for like $20 so you're basically paying an arm and a leg for the handguard.

Before I got the PTR-32, it was between that, the Vz 58, the SG-556, Century 308 so I could get the PTR-91 lower and upper (now banned ;__; ) and the Robinson M 96 (Stoner 63 copy in 5.56)
