For those of you who conceal carry. If you come across this sign at a building you're going into, do you still bring your weapon in?
>>
>>28345679
Not legally binding in my state, fuck HEB.
>>
>>28345679
Tried to do this once, my pocket knives disintegrated.
>>
>>28345679
Unless it's necessary I just don't give them my business
>>
Live in Texas it's not a 30-06 sign I can carry whatever I want there unless the manager calls the cops to get me to leave
>>
>>28345679
Ignore unless government building, I don't print with my 26
>>
>>28345698
Oregon?
I live in Oregon, we are allowed to conceal carry everywhere except for govt buildings that prohibited it.
>>
>>28345795
Not the guy you replied to but, Oregon is amazing for that. It includes all public schools too
>>
Sings like that hold no legal weight in my state. So I ignore them.
>>
99% of those signs aren't legally binding

And if I'm CCing, why the fuck would I care? No one would know, and if they did find out all they could do is ask me to leave
>>
>>28345679
Here in Missouri they are *almost* powerless signs. If they somehow see your weapon (you aren't really concealing) they can ask you to leave. If you refuse to leave you can be charged with trespassing. If the judge doesn't like you he can tack on a $100 additional thing for the concealed weapon at that point. And if this whole ordeal happens 3 times you'll lose your concealed carry license.
>>
Not if its a state/federal/etc building. Like a school or an office. If its starbucks or other horseshit I definitely do. Most of those chains that harrass off duty cops and vets who carry are on their 'respond really slowly' lists so lord knows if something happens the cops won't get there in time.
>>
I recently got a security guard permit, EU. I have a CC permit as well. Here's what it legally runs down to for me: if a guard detects you are carrying, he can deny you entry. That's it. If there's no metal detectors, there's no way to detect it. Loophole by design.
>>
>>28345725
This.

Don't give money to liberal ninnies that put up these worthless signs.
>>
>>28345679
It depends on the building. Is it a casino? Bank? Maybe a police station?

Exercising a bit of common sense doesn't necessarily mean you're surrendering your rights.
>>
>>28345966
>Bank?
seems like exactly the kind of place I would want to be armed
>>

AM I BEING DETAINED!?!?!?
>>
>>28345815
Oh shit I didn't realize it included public schools. I think Portland it doesn't which is where I grew up.
>>
>>28345679
Business? I don't give them mine
Anyplace else? Yes, it's not a 30.06 therefore it has as much legal power as taping a dandelion to the door.
>>
>>28345679
>>28345698
Also TX fag here... unless it's a specific sign with specific wording in both english and spanish posted in a certain way all that sign legally means is that employees can't carry there. Means absolutely nothing to us CC people.
>>
>>28345679

just carry anyways, unless its a govt building
>>
>>28346033
Federal buildings you would get in trouble.
>>
>>28345980
>I would want to be armed at a bank
Banks rarely get robbed, and they have armed security (and/or a policy of just giving up the money).

And when it comes to the Casino, I wouldn't put it past them to just shoot you if they saw you carrying. They don't fuck around.
>>
>>28346062

just had a bank robbery in town recently, some guy carrying shot the guy

hows those rose tinted glasses tho?

>>
>>28346062
>And when it comes to the Casino, I wouldn't put it past them to just shoot you if they saw you carrying. They don't fuck around.

Vegas here, they just ask you to leave if they see you printing, so it's a good test to see how well you have it concealed.
>>
>>28345679
No government buildings, no schools, no hospitals, no casinos either. Ain't Delaware, land of the corporations and corporate kickbacks to governors grand?
>>
What about tools? Tools are legal.

Take a full auto nail gun in.

Deck it out with rails and optics for high precision roofing or whatever.

Boom. Legal. Right?
>>
>>28345679

All the time. I CC in the bank, at the hospital I work, as well as the dispensary to get my weed. One reason why I love appendix carry, your shit conceals so easily.
>>
>>28346142
Adding to that, we tend to get a lot of people open carrying during helldorado days, a number of the casinos host fun shows, and you get the shotshow crowd here so they are pretty cool around here if you are a local and don't make an ass out of yourself, or show up in biker gear. We tend to get someone trying to pull the Bane routine at the cage every 3-6 months here.
>>
>>28345679
They have a right to say what I can and not bring onto their property, and I have a right to take my business elsewhere.
>>
>>28346000
No, you're not, just GTFO!
>>
>>28346060
federal building don't put up stupid signs like that (at least not here).
Also I assumed OP was talking about places that put up the signs that are legal to carry there, but the owner doesn't want to.

But ya, I wouldn't CC in a federal building because I like my butthole.
>>
>Be at restaurant
>CC a glock 20
>Nobody sees it
>Nothing happens
or
>Somebody sees it
>They probably won't care cause I live in a proguns state
or
>Somebody sees it
>They ask me to leave
>Leave
or
>Somebody tries to rob the place
>Shoot them with my gun
>Make the local paper for doing the right thing

There's literally no reason to abide by this. I carry everywhere but courthouses and government buildings. I carry on campus' and schools.
>>
>>28346196
>I carry on campus' and schools
Same here, but it's legal in my state which is nice
>>
>>28345788

I don't, but only because I don't want to risk prosecution. I use the "No Carry, No Cash" database to plan my trips and visits so I don't run into those signs. Places which I must frequent that carry those signs I just do business with online.

I know a business owner who has a "No Guns" sign displayed, so I asked him why he posted it. He said after Wisconsin passed concealed carry he got a letter from his insurance provider indicating his premium was going to increase by $1200 a year. I can't find anything to support his claim, and don't really see the logic in it, but it's possible an insurer would pull something like that for any number of reasons.

Yup, signs aren't legally binding in the state of Nevada (unless a gov building)
>>
>>28345679
yes, i will even go in the damn courthouse with it when they try to prosecute me like literal fagots
>>
>>28345679
Virginia here, I just ignore them, I can CC anywhere accept schools, govt. buildings, and hospitals I believe. Also I don't really print any with my shield so i just go about my business anyway and ignore the signs. In Virginia though if a business owner sees it and asks you to leave, it's in your best interest to not make a scene and leave, because if you don't the cops can get you for trespassing but that's about it really. Those sings carry no legal weight.
>>
>>28348448
Yes you can faggot.
>>
>>28348479
No, but carrying a loaded weapon into a situation that makes others fear for their lives (legitimately, not #triggered) has legal grounds for indictment. Particularly if it causes some kind of panic or disturbance.

So basically
- don't print
- don't take your gun somewhere it has no purpose being
>>
>>28348612
This is why we CC not OC.

you can carry, but you can't discharge a firearm at a school. Strangely, there is no exception to that law, even for police.

schools and govt. places it's illegal, everywhere else it's ok. im ok with leaving it in my car then, seeing as how both of those places have armed personnel there.

You're reading it wrong: no carry no business.
Don;t do business with places that ban CC
>>
>>28351782
>2nd and 3rd point
Does that even matter, can't people who have done that still carry, cause they can here
>>
If it's a place where state or federal law prohibits me from carrying, I don't carry. If it's just a place like a grocery store or movie theater where the most they can do is ask me to leave if they see it, I just go in.
>>
>>28353794
The problem is that your behavior encourages those no gun signs because you're helping them be a successful business.
Don't get me wrong, I'll go in to UNLESS, there is a competitor anywhere even remotely close without the sign.
>>
>>28345679
If I owned a liquor store, and it was legal too carry onto my property ageanst my wishes, and a hood came in with a gun, then I couldn't do anything about it until he shoots me. That can't be what you all want.
>>
>>28353939
I think my opinion will mirror many people's.

We want to respect private property rights.
We support your right to not have guns on your property.
We will, however, also choose not to shop there.

Intentional or not, what you are suggesting is actually implementing a rule with the intention that only those you deem worthy, an elite class, if you will won't have to follow. That's what people like Diane Fienstink and Bloomberg do. It's unAmerican, unethical and wrong.
>>
>>28353863
I work at Disney, but we aren't allowed to carry. Shit, every week a co-worker goes AWOL, gets Baker Acted, or kills themself. They're having us work 60+ hour weeks, and I rarely get to see my son because of the shitty schedule they have me on.

One day some fat slob that works here is going to come in with a gun or chainsaw, and start going to town. The lady who used to sit adjacent to me ended up jumping off a bridge.

They legally cannot own guns. You can't purchase or own after a domestic abuse conviction. Doesn't matter what state. You should learn your laws better m80.

Mental disease is only if you get judged by a court to be mentally incompetent, which still means you cannot legally own a gun.

In the off chance they see that I'm concealing

>woops sorry didn't see it.

If they ask me to leave I'll leave, they have to ask you to leave and you have to refuse for it to be trespassing, and that's only in some cases, most cases the police will ask you to leave and tell you if you come back then its trespassing. So really there shouldn't be an issue unless a libcuck cries on the phone that you're waving your gun around shooting up the place and officer PTSD shows up and shoots on sight, in which case libcuck is in trouble for a false report that lead to a death.

unless you're doing a horrible fuck job at it, the very definition and purpose of concealed carry is that no one knows that you're carrying, right?
