How much money did you spend on guns or gun-related items this year /k/?
>>
Not that much actually. Got an old Marlin 30-30 at a gun show for a couple hundred bucks and bought my dad a Garand and ammo for his birthday. That's about it. Was a pretty dry year for /k/ related stuff for me.

Probably around 2 grand overall. I hope to start getting to the range again regularly next year.
>>
Probably 2500 to 3000

>Garand
>Beretta Cx4
>Vortex red dot and magazines for Cx4
>ammo

I live in NJ and I think I'm done buying new guns until I move to a better state.
>>
A little over a thousand. Just some surplus bolt actions and ammo.

Too much, probably around $5k and then I'm starting off 2016 by sending my 1911 into a custom shop for a complete gutting and overhaul.

Everything is being replaced with Ed Brown and Wilson Combat parts except for the Ti firing pin and spring.

Although I'm tempted to just keep the barrel and polish the feed ramp and throat instead rather than spend so much money on a Nowlin match barrel.

No debt = true freedom.
>>
>>28345491
But on the other hand... debt opens a lot of very good doors that would otherwise be closed if you had to pay out of pocket.
It's a necessary evil.
>>
>>28345583

no debt = a thorn in the side of big powers.
In all history's civilizations, the only country that managed to be debt free was Romania in the late 80s. They paid their imf debts and much more on top of that. And we all know what hapenned to Romania after '89. It's true that no debt means freedom, but unfortunately you will attract unwanted attention on a larger scale.

I just went over my spending for 2015 so I could build a budget for 2016.
Counting all shopping at LGS's, Brownell's, Midway, PA, etc, and Money Orders to pay for gunbroker shit, it came out to about $8,200
Which explains where the fuck all my spending money sent this year. Fuck, guns are expensive and addictive.
I'll probably cap my spending at $2.5k for 2016, and that will likely be ammo and reloading shit mostly.
>>
>>28343917
Probably about $6000.
>>
>>28343917

>>28345751
Will do. I'm using my small town credit union anyway. I have no love for large banks.
But I'm not putting my life on hold for 20 years working jobs I hate instead of spending a few thousand extra on interest buying out a business I DO enjoy when the boss retires.
A car or something else I don't really need? sure I don't want to go into debt on a fancy new pickup vs just driving a regular car I can afford or pay off quickly or on the spot.

It's pretty good for what it is. Fun little gun as PCCs tend to be. I have been having accuracy trouble, but it could be the absolute garbage ammo I was using. I'll have to take it out again sometime with better ammo.

While I don't have a Beretta 92 yet because I'm only 20, I bought the Cx4 so I'll have a quality long gun that uses 92-series magazines and ammo. If that factor doesn't matter to you, you'd be well served by some less expensive alternatives.

MR762 is one of my dream guns. Putting the SCAR and MR762 side by side, the MR762 feels a lot more solid, and a lot more care was taken in making it than the SCAR.

The key is to pretend like you have debt. You get the best of both worlds.

>get credit card
>use credit card
>treat like debit card
>instead of using cash, use credit
>keep track of how much you spend, don't spend more than you have
>pay off card in-full every statement period
>acquire good credit, don't go into debt

It's the best of both worlds. I've had a credit card for seven years and have never paid a cent in interest and have boosted my credit score to 804. This will allow me to get super low rates if/when I DO need to go in debt, like getting a loan to help pay for a house.

Getting deep in debt it stupid. Not having any credit history is just as stupid.
>>
About $60 on 9x18mm and 12 gauge slugs. Jesus...
>>
I'm curious how much I spent. I guess I didn't really pay much attention.

>FS2000 - $2000
>9mm AR build - $2500 with optic and magazines
>16" AR build - $3000 with optic and magazines
>18" AR build - $1800
>Partially converted G36/SL8 - $3000
>SL8 - $1600
>AK-74 - $500
>91/30 - $180
>Jericho 941 - $299
>Ammo ~$5000
>Assorted parts ~$1000

I know I'm missing a few things, but it was a heavy year. Next year I plan to tone it back. I know I'll need to spend at least $4000 to finish my two SL8 conversions, and I need to get an optic for my 18" SPR build. Other than that, I don't "need" anything. I do plan on getting a couple things regardless though.

>CMP M1 Garand
>SCAR17
>FS2000 tactical
>AUG
>SBR stamp to finish a .300 blk AR build I'm doing

After that, I should be set for a while, also all of those purchases will be spread out over the year.

True. Stay in debt and you are useful like a cow being constantly milked by banks and corporations.
If you have no debt, you're no good, so they send in the agents to stirr shit up, create chaos and damage, change the people in power and let corruption do its thing, and that's how you make people have debt. It's a fucked up world, but it's the norm.

Why not student loans aren't secured, I don't know why most people get stressed about them. I have no debt at all as I had my degree paid for by my employer but the way the college system is set up in the country they actually make a lot more when you don't pay it's not as if you're stealing.

Honestly just ammo about 700 bucks for bulk buying 9mm and .45acp

and of course ballistol, but I use that shit for everything from knives to my bike and power tools, so that's kind of my house GP lube.

Thanks to California's Gay laws about how your rifle is set up and the approved handgun list, I have just about everything I need and what I can get.

Been playing the longest dark and I'm thinking about getting bear caliber guns like a .44 mag revolver and a 30-06 bolt action for SHTF if some how the bears in California decide to revolt...worse if they are zombie bears that bear arms.
