A cousin of a friend was a cop and he was shot with a .22 and it went right thru his Kevlar vest.
It's best to dual wield with a .45 semi auto (preferably a 1911) because the stopping power creates massive wound vectors, and while dual wielding with a .22 due to the low recoil you've got laser accuracy and the .22 round can keyhole into the .45 entry wound and bounce around causing a guaranteed fatality. I'd go with a Kimber since it's small and one of the best CCW options on the market, as well as ergonomic. The size will mimic that of your .22.

You mean, since it's a rifle round it uses a slower burning propellant than for example the .25 acp which performs better than the .22lr from very short barrels but the .22lr outperforms it when they're shot from long barrels.
But that also depends a little on the propellant used in the .22lr.
