I want to mount an Aimpoint pro on an Ak. What are my options for side mounts?

It's looking like the AK 303 mount might fit the bill, but I'm concerned that I'd have to remove the optic in order to field strip the rifle.

You will have to remove it to clean the rifle, but that's okay. Good side mounts are built to hold zero when removed.
>>

>>28339821
What this anon said. It ought to hold zero since it uses the side rail.
>>
>>28339821
Wandering zero is what I'm worried about. A chin weld, or an offset mount isn't a big deal, because aimpoints have little parallax.
>>
>>28339754
The RS mounts are the best out there. The A-301M will put the optic about 1/4" away from the iron sight and weigh less. You can easily pop the dust cover with everything mounted if you need to.

I have the old heavy-ass K-Var mount, and it hold's zero enough for shooting out to 200m. I might not trust the zero on a 500m hunting rifle, but for an AK, it will work fine.

This, OP.

I'd also like to point out that you're being a faggot by wanting a rail mount but none of the stuff that comes with it.

Wanna be tactical? Take the extra shit that comes with it, or use the rifle In its standard configuration.

RS regulate is the only real option. Everything else is shit.

I don't give a flying fuck if it is, or is perceived to be "tactical." Aks work well, and red dot's make rifles easier to shoot.

I primarily shoot with irons, but dots make me substantially faster and more accurate. They also work well in low light, especially when compared to black on black irons.

Hell the rifle I'm mounting it on has wood furniture...

Midwest industries makes a good mount

Faggot. You want it, but you are too bitchy to just accept the downside?
>>28340156
>has to be
No, I'm pointing out that he's a faggot, because he wants something but something so stupid as an extra step to cleaning is enough to deter him from getting it.

this. I have one on a 308 vepr and it's rock solid. Heavy, but good. plus its from WI...healping out my local economy too.
>>
>>28340456
Are you inventing something new?
No. You're chickening out because of an extra step and the slight potential for a shift in zero.
>>
>>28339754
Get the Midwest industries mount. You don't have to remove the optic in order to field strip the rifle.
>>
>>28340475
I'd also like to add that you made no effort to find a different rail that didn't have this problem.
You simply picked one and decided it's a pain.

I have a Primary Arms microdot on my RS mount and it has held zero very well, and I have removed the mount numerous times.
>>
>>28340475
I'm thinking I'll just buy the mount in the OP, then machine a riser.
>>
>>28339754
I'm pretty sure you don't need to remove the rail/optic in order to take the dust cover off. I have an sgl31 with a micro and 301 rail and can do it.

Also rs products makes good mounts, your zero wont mess up when you're taking it on and off. Just push the mount up and foward everytime before locking it and you won't have problems.

Also midwest ind is pretty heavy compared to rs

That's a nice setup, anon.

Everyone told me the same thing about the POSP scope, but it did not need to be removed for cleaning.
>>
>>28339754
Why you want optic on AK, komrade? Is perfect as is.
>>
I really don't want an AK at all but I think /k/ is making me want one
