Hey /k/

Just got pic related K11. Took it out to the range today and it shot fine, but very slightly high. Is this normal for the k11 or k31?

I am well versed in the technical differences between the two rifles, and that the k31 is basically just the improved k11. But my main question is will i be able to achieve the same accuracy i would with a k11 as I would be able to obtain from a k31? Do any of you reload this?

General swiss thread.

What distance(s) were you shooting at? The K11 rear sight starts at 300m, whereas the K31 sight starts at 100m.

I was shooting at 200 yards, so that is starting to make sense.

The only thing that could potentially be a problem on the K11 is that the locking lugs are that the rear of the bolt, which makes it somewhat weaker than if they were located at the front like the K31 later switched too.

>rear locking lugs
people on here complain about this feature on Enfields too and I never understood why. It will never matter using factory ammo for either one.

I thought they did away with the rear locking lugs after the 1889 Schmidt Rubin?

What the fuck do I call my full size 1911 rifle? It isnt the older 96/11 its the 1911 full length rifle.

>tfw it shoots about .5MOA better than my K31

What about reloads done to factory spec. Even PPU's 7.5 is 30 grains lower than the surplus stuff.

This is important because i want to reload this ammo

On the G.11 action they moved to the middle, and on the K31 to the front.

They're called G11s

Gewehr Modell 1911.

I gotta admit Swiss rifles arent really my thing. All 4 that I own I fell into by a crazy circumstance.

>the best shooting one is the mint condition M81 Vetterli
>>

have you pulled the bullets and weighed some? i shot some ppu last month and it was stout as fuckkk. the wax paper surplus ammo seemed crisp and recoil was more push than the ppu which was thunderous and jumpy recoil.
>>
>>28339369
I have just heard you can get really solid results with these guns at long range. Also reloading is possible.
>>
>>28339423
No, i have never shot with surplus ammo. Only PPU, and soft point at that.

ok well thanks anyway. im not implying that one is underpowered.... maybe the powder burn rate is just diffrent or sum. they both seem plenty strong.
