Hey /k/. My Arsenal is currently in cases, stacked in a corner. I'd like to display them, and was thinking of using pegboard like pic related. The walls are cinder block, so no fear of the weight pulling it out of the drywall.
But that seems so... Plain. Requesting pics of display cases made from old crates, bookshelves, whatever.
Or maybe I'll just stick em in a safe, alone, in the dark ;_;

Put them in a safe unless you want to get robbed. Never leave your house with firearms unless they are somehow concealed, etc etc

You'll probably want coated pegs or non-metal pegs so that the meta doesn't react with anything. Just in case

Buy one of those milsurp gun cabinets from a gov auction. It'll have your gun room looking like an armory.

Slats is best for gun rooms, I like white because it's easiest to light up and illuminate from every angle due to light bounding off white surfaces, making the guns well lit and at the center of attention. Aesthetics can be stuff like trim along the floors and near the ceiling, maybe some gun related posters on walls that have no guns yet, that sort of thing.
IMO the guns should be the main focus of the room, putting up whatever to distract the eyes or putting in overly warm lighting with rich-looking wood just kinda ruins it for me; the color of the light and surroundings floods over whatever colors were on the guns. Sure, the whole looks nice because classy feel, but the guns themselves are lessened.
