Try your luck at English again friend. No one knows what this thread is supposed to be about. Are you asking something? Making a statement? What?
>>
>>28332172
I think he's asking why there aren't more side-pivoting breechblock shotguns
it is kind of cool
>>
>>28332186
I've been saying it for some time now. With a few adjustments, a modern take on this weapon would be the fastest sporting shotgun to grace the market...
>>
>>28332141
A martini henry style falling block action turned to the side? Now that's interesting.
>>
>>28332141
because it's incredibly complex and a break action works better.

He even has a loading fail at the end of the video.

>a few adjustments
Like what?
>>
>>28332141
It's a damn fine idea OP, but it's kind of less useful because the empties are harder to remove.

Plus, usually people reload with the left hand, right?
>>
>>28332141
I wished I had bid on that. I'd have got it for a steal at 3k
>>
>>28333802
Fuck did it really sell for that cheap?
>>
>>28333815
Yes. $2950 wad the hammer price plus the buyer's premium.

Time to go cry in the corner. I thought for sure it would be 10k+.
>>
>>28333841
You'd have probably paid about 3400 after the buyer's premium and shipping, but yeah, not bad for a cool design.
>>

He clearly demonstrated it working as intended right after that. The only reason the first failed to extract was because he is unfamiliar with the action and triggered the extractor on the bottom too softly.

Alright /k/ how does this sound?

>switch to pop open both blocks and extract + eject the empties located on the right side or rear of the receiver actuated with right hand thumb

>blocks flip to the right instead of left
>two more cartridges can now be pressed into the chambers
>upon entering the chamber (passing the extractor lip) they automatically spring closed

so the firing sequence is something like this:
>pew! pew!
>actuate lever with right hand, blocks flip open extracting and ejecting spent hulls
>jam two more in with left hand
>pew! pew!
>>
>>28333892
It already has spring mechanisms to help extract. Also I would kill my second born son to see more remove able stocks like that on modern guns.
>>
>>28333911
ejecting them would be helpful for speed though
>>
>>28333930
Well what I mean is, it seems to me if the rifle is held upright, like one would when shooting, that the spring mechanism that's already there plus gravity will eject them.
>>
>>28333970
Also I m pretty sure if you could train yourself to hold them properly you could just about load both barrels at once with a quick slap and and push forward.
>>
>>28333892

I think it would still be important to be able to open each breech individually.
>>
>>28333613
Tightening tolerances, I assume.

More like ease of manufacturing, material quality, interchangeable parts and ironing out a few things that could be better. Some guns like this a lot closer to prototype or concepts than the truly finished best product it could be.

How does /k/ feel about Cosmi while we're on the subject of unusual mechanisms?
