I know a lot of people think it's soooo stupid to make your 10/22 tactical....
But I don't give a fuuuuuuck. This motherfucker just looks badass when you open up the case. It's a sick build. Plus, it's the most fun to shoot out of any other firearm I own. I just love how gently, how easily, how quietly it shoots. Rapid fireing my ass off because the bullets only cost 3 cents a round. So yeah, you can hate all you want, but I wouldn't trade this 10/22 for anything. Definitely my favorite build.

I don't. I had a tactical 10/22 I got as a gift and put a factory wood stock on because it's retarded to try and make a .22 into an AR. Just get an AR. Foregrips, muzzle brakes, and pistol grips on a squirrel gun are stupid.

Oh I like that. I've never seen that frame. Better? Meeeeehh, apples and oranges. In the beauty of simplicity you got me whipped. Love the simple flip up sights. But, if you like to just go crazy with your rails, you gotta give it to me on the attachments. I got a fucking bipod folding forward (like a boss) and a forgrip folding backwards (essential if you want to break down the stock). And of course I got the dead man switch for my light mounted to the grip so all I have to do is squeeze a little harder and...light. But seriously, do you just love shooting yours. I can't really put my finger on it but there is just something so comforting about plugging dead center (dead center) round after round with no recoil.

I can toss rails on where I want, this is just the base gun.
I got a flashlight and foregrip on it for plinking steel and critters. No need for a bipod. I can change the handguard if I want later.
Oh, and it's called an SR-22 rifle.

It's a training platform for some, but really it stands alone as its own category. It's a tactical .22. Yeah, it doesn't have the power of a large caliber, but it's so fast, and so easy, and so accurate. It's like a big slow guy fighting a little quick dude. I'm not saying you can take it to a gun battle and win, but you can triple tap that fucker and put three bullets on target faster than some guys can charge their AR's. Boomboomboom... Three to the head and you're dead.
I just got the takedown with stainless, threaded barrel, fiber optics. Got it for tree fidy, I'm gonna suppress it and add a red dot with a underfolding stock. And a bx trigger/ vol mag release. It's not my shtf. It's a kickass plinker, with a personal touch. Pic somewhat related

For sure there is. The 10/22 format alone is still probably the best .22 caliber rifle you can get. Then you add $200 in extras and you got yourself a $500 gun. And noobs just get all doe eyed. "Ooooo, pistol grips... Oooo, taclight." Lol.

I bought an ATI Strikeforce stock for mine, and I fucking hate it. All that tacticool shit doesn't make a shit of a good difference if the adjustable stock has so much vertical up-down play in it that it throws your shots off.
The only stock I want now is a Houge overmold

Yeah dude, I love the takedown model. A kickass plinker. I can't wait to get a suppressor on mine too. Sounds like a fucking paintball gun. And the bx trigger is so fucking smooth. I mean come on, $80 to have the most buttery trigger... Can't beat it. You're smart to go with the red dot scope, IMO. Mine is like a $60 Simmons, which ain't shit, and it's still insanely accurate. Wherever you lay the dot is where the bullet will go.

i dont understand all the love for the 10/22. Sure it's nice, but the Marlin 795 is better in every regard other than manufacturer hicap mags. (marlin has 3rd party 25's)
I would take last shot hold open, less weight, and accuracy over a 10/22 any day.

Furthermore, last shot hold open on marlin is operator as fuck. Its oddly satisfying to swap mags and ergonomically press the lever and have the bolt slam shut with a fresh round.
I'm ok with making 10/22 tacticool, but the one on the thumbnail looked kinda like a Hi Point carbine, and those are ugly af.

Looks like every tacticool SKS ever I see up here in Soviet Canuckistan. Though an SKS is actually useful for things other than plinking and squirrel hunting.
On the topic of 2tacticool4u accessories for a 10/22, has anybody tried the TacStar stock (for the non-takedown version)? It looks pretty comfy, plus dat rail.

I have fun with my AK and my Remington 700, which are tac'd out for a reason, it makes them perform better. When I had the tactical shit on my 10/22 it just made it unnecessarily heavy and clunky. There's nothing to gain from it, it's like putting a fart can and a spoiler on a civic.
