>have almost 10k rounds of .22lr
>usually just plink with it in my Savage
>want a .22lr pistol
Are there any good .22lr 1911's? Any worth a damn under $400 that is? Should I just settle and get a Ruger 22/45?
>>28326216
Get a deagle in .22lr
>>28326263
Might work if the bolt and slide was made from aluminum....
>10k rounds of .22lr
Fuck off
Your part of the god damn problem you fucking shitass.
>>28326385
you assume he bought it all recently and has not accumulated it over the years. but even if he didnt, so what?
you sound like a bitter bitch
The 22/45 or the Browning 1911/22 or Buckmark.
>>28326385
Every store I walk into has shelves filled with .22 with no limit. Have your mom drive you to WalMart and you can have 10,000 rounds too...
>>28326263
it uses a thick rubber band instead of a recoil spring
>>28326216
You should take a look at the Ruger SR-22.

The Browning is shit. It's not 1:1, it's built to some weird scale and feels fucking tiny.
If you have to have a 1911 in 22 get either a conversion kit or one of the GSG 1911s.
>>28326216
gsg/sig 1911 22 is supposed to be pretty decent. I've heard you should break it in with quality shit like cci mini mag for about 500 rounds, then it will eay whatever you put in it. they generally go for around $300.
>>28326216
If you already have a 1911, I'm really happy with my Kimber conversion kit.
>>28326385
you sound poor
>>28328885
This.
>>28328885
I had a gsg 1911 and it was shit. The recoil spring had a guide rod that was weak and experiencing a lot of wear.
I mean, it was cool but just way too flimsy for my liking.
I also had an early Walther p22 and it stove piped a lot.
The only one I've had that felt solid was a conversion slide for my Glock. That one worked well. However, that one, like others, have no recoil and are about as rewarding to plink with as airsoft.
Just get a real gun or get an airsoft.
>>28326216
the Sig P938 .22LR is pretty sweet
>>28328813
Do not get the GSG, they are absolute shit.
Marvel conversion kits are the bomb, a little expensive but durable and accurate as fuck
I have a Ruger 22/45 Target, and a PPQ 22 that have both been solid. I have probably 6k through the PPQ, and 3k through the Ruger and no problems. I prefer the PPQ as it feels more familiar to shoot, though the Ruger is actually a better shooter.
>>28326385
>part of the problem
>wants to actually plink with it instead of flipping it
>>28331298
I had a GSG and the slide split on some shit tier Remington Golden Bullets. They're great suppressor hosts and the warranty is pretty good. Sent it back and got a new slide for free. Took it out after getting it back and broke the barrel bushing. FYI, the Sig 1911-22 is the same as a GSG. I've had good luck with Walther P22s and Ruger SR22s.
>>28326436
I haven't seen any .22 lr in my Wal-Mart for 2.5 years....
9 mil is back, but that doesn't lend to well to sessions in my backyard
Grand Power K22 was an absolute joy to shoot.
>>28331247
I have one of the Sig / GSG 1911s and it has been great.
>>28326216
Get a real 1911, poorfag
>>28326385
>>28326385
>mfw I have 20k rounds of .22lr and I don't even own a gun shooting the round
>>28326216
Don't buy any .22 handguns that are supposed to look like or replicate the feeling of other handguns. Nearly all of those are made with shit materials and are guaranteed to shit the bed just a few thousand rounds ine
>>28329531
Seconded
I have a sig 1911 .22 and it's breddy gud
Just get a fucking Ruger mk 1.
>>28326385
STFU. Some of us were actually smart enough to buy 10k rds BEFORE Sandy Hook.
While everyone paniced, I just sat back in utter shock watching retards like you pay $200 a brick.
What's gonna happen if the stores run out of food. Are people that actually prepared for such an event "part of the problem".
The problem is liberals trying to pass gun laws, not people stocking up ammo.
10k rds of .22lr is not the much really.
>mfw I shot 2.5k this summer
>>28333583
then what in the fuck is the point of having that much
10k .22lr is only like, $600 if you don't get bulk pricing. No one thinks twice when you drop $600 on a big order of any other ammo
>>28326216
>.22lr 1911's
If your 1911 is chambered in .22lr, it's not a 1911, it's a .22lr dressed up to look like a 1911.
>>28336762
exception being the Colt Ace.
Don't know it? Look it up. Cost more and works better than most 1911s out there.
>>28326216
have to be a 1911?
If not I recommend the Colt Woodsman or High Standard, 3rd place to the 22/45 (reliable but a bitch to disassemble), 4th to the browning
I like my sig mosquito well enough.
>>28336881
I thought the Kel-Tec was magnum and not long rifle?
