Recent Purchases thread?

Got my first AK, 1000 rounds of 7.62 on the way. Not sure if I should shit it up with magpul furniture, anyone have a zhukov stock? Also should I just stick with the irons, is putting a red dot on a wasr stupid?

Lets see what goodies you all got for /K/wanzaa.
>>
Put a Zhukov on my wasr because shitty wood was shitty. Has held up pretty well. Gets knocked around a good bit and scuffed up but still going strong. I'd tell you go for it unless you're one of those "rifle is fine" types

Ordered one of these with my holiday bonus

Nice, I like the look of them and folding seems the way to go. Are they pretty easy to install? Also are you running any optics on yours?
>>
>>28321710
Why are little AKs so fucking adorable?
>>
>>28321716
>>28321716
Don't have any optics at of yet, I'm being really picky with my mounting choice so it's on the back burner for now. As far as installation goes for the Zhukov is pretty simple. Two bolts is all it is. They use a weird system that basically makes for force it in place and then it uses that force to keep the stock snug. Rubber mallet and it went it fine.

Whoa sorry for the typos Jameson is catching up to me
>>
plebs use irons. I prefer the midwest industries front furniture replacement and primary arms 1-6x recticle.

>no magdimples
>no muzzle brake
>barrel isn't even threaded for fucks sake
>no cleaning rod
>no bayo lug

no, rifle is far from fine
>>
>>28321930
In my opinion, the legion series are the only sigs worth a shit. I handle a lot of Sigs and have gotten to shoot a fair amount of them as well as HK. They're what Sigs should be and it is too bad they are expensive.

That said, they are smooth, the triggers are very good, second only to an older broken in W German Sig. If there are any new production Sigs to own, it is these.

I am not brand loyal by the way. I carry M&Ps, Glocks, Smith revolvers, and occasionally my STI.
>>
>>28321934
Don't even own a WASR but here's why you're retarded

>no magdimples
Irrelevant, even Russia didn't think it was a concern at one point.

>no muzzle brake
fair enough

>barrel isn't even threaded for fucks sake
And you can tell that how? Xray vision to see under the barrel nut? It also has a detent, why if it wasn't threaded would that be there?

>no cleaning rod
Again, fair enough

>no bayo lug
Sure looks like it has one to me.

So OP get a cleaning rod, a muzzle device (if it is a threaded barrel), and a bayo (if it does have a bayo lug) and you'll be GTG
>>
>>28321986
Yeah I hear you. The only sig I own is a german p226. I'm a bit apprehensive about buying newer exeter sigs
>>
>>28321934
>>28322007
No mag wobble, and it is threaded. It didn't come with the cleaning rod but I'm sure I can pick one up cheap.

Apprehension is understood but you have to also realize that Sig treats people decently as well. Any problems, call the factory. They've printed me a dozen RMA shipping labels and all have come back fixed.

I support Sig because they are poking the ATF in the eye wherever possible and I find it funny.
>>
>>28321647
hop on apex and get a $25 balkin wood funiture set. you might get some neat trench art and shit, or you could get some plain boring crap that you can refinish without ruining anything of value.
>>

>Dem 40 bakes
Noice.
Where'd you pick those up?

Just so I know, do you have the RPG?
>>
>>28321647
Put a bonesteel stock on it so you can actually beat someone to death with it, not some tacticool plastic shit.

A red dot is going to give you slightly quicker target acquisition and better ability to shoot in low light, but is that worth the cost of some kind of mount + the optic to you? If so go for it.

I like how you think anon, carry on
>>

Ayy yo gonna pick up a 229 Legion on Monday.

Don't care about being in...The Legion. A group of hard men for hard times, operating operationally in that rough, deadly urban jungle you call home.

Do care about dat Gray Guns inspired trigger and dem sights. The grips also look pleasant.
>>
>>28323220
Me too.

But a surplus polymer stock would be plenty durable for that. Zhukov, I don't know...
>>
>>28323250

it's the age old question, weight savings or durability. I have a zhukov but think I will pick up the bonesteel.
