EASed but Huey and Cobra mech here, people are always gonna talk shit, forgetting that they are usually deployed from LHDs and LHAs. Also got to see both sides since I was a grunt first than a winger. 20mm and 2.75s in CAS give me a boner like nothing else.

I actually wonder why don't more countries operate them. They're far more effective at everything CAS related than most strike fighters, and far more fit for low intensity combat.

I thought the Vietnam era Cobras had a 40mm grenade launcher and a 7.62mm minigun in the turret. The 20mm tri-barrel cannon came later.

I don't know. If I had to guess I'd say the later, square canopies are more durable/damage resistant - but that's just a guess.
