Sub MOA out of the fucking box. No need for bedding as they have some kind of shitty metal bedding V addition that surprisingly works incredibly well.
Best budget rifle that shoots sub MOA out of the box you will find. I cannot guarantee perfect fit and finish for quality on such a mass produced rifle though. Mine needed some sanding on the stock to give more room for the free float barrel.
My dad gifted me a Savage Axis .308
Haven't shot it yet, but heard great things about it. Wish it had an Accutrigger, but I can deal. Super stoked, mine came with a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40, worth around 80-110$ new. I would jump on it.

The Axis II has the accutrigger. The regular Axis doesn't. Pay attention to this when you buy

I was thinking about buying one. I may still, at some point. Place here had them for $299 / all calibers, back on Black Friday.
The stocks on them feel bad - the plastic is toy-like. The magazine is even more toy-like and flimsy seeming. But the bang for the buck is pretty amazing.
