/k/ i need your advice. I want to get a Styer AUG A3 because it looks good and from what i read it is a damn good gun. Sadly its base model price is 1800$ Should i just save up and get it or do you have another cheaper and better choice.

This. Shot them all about 5 or so years ago, and ended up getting an AUG (Msar, before styers were reimported).
Cant shoot my msar anymore due to msar going under, so im going to get a styer soon.
I have 2500 burgers to blow and my choice was an AUG +ammo or a SCAR heavy. I was leaning towards the AUG because it's cheaper to shoot but both would be range toys anyhow.

Op - if you want a medium range (5.56) bullpup tactical rifle, the Aug is a pretty good choice. It feels more comfortable than the Tavor for example. I have yet to try the Desert Tech, but one thing you might Co aided is true ambi usage. Brass in the face sucks. Bullpup designs put that brass ejection right at your cheek.
I only know of 2 weapons that resolve the issue by dropping brass straight down (FN P-90) and Keltec RFB. I have both, but my RFB is the "go to".
7.62 platform is long reach. I added the Specter 1/3/9 optic, and sold my Trijicon 6x. The kit is perfect for CQ up to 600 meters. It takes FAL mags, so you can have 30 rounds per cycle.
You might consider the Keltec depending on your intended utility.
