NGL it looks like an arasaka Bayonet, like the bolt action rifle. although shortened, let me see if i can pull up the marking translation http://oldmilitarymarkings.com/japanese_markings.html
Japanese Type-30 Arisaka bayonet made at Koishikawa Arsenal.
Finns had a number of Type 30 and 38 Arisaka rifles they inherited from the Russian Army, who had purchased them as a stop-gap weapon during WW1. By the time of the Winter War they were all relegated to second-line use.

Looks like a cut down Japanese Type 30 bayonet. That stamp is either Kokura or Koishikawa (after 1935) arsenal.

Cut down Arisaka bayonet.
Some Finn probably used it as a fighting knife.

Definitely a Japanese bayonet.

I'm puzzling over the little stud, it almost looks like it was added to keep it in a scabbard. Never seen one like that before.
So how do you guys think it got here, could it have been used by the army or police force or is it something someone bought from japan?

Could you explane that simpler? My english isn't to good

Both Russia and Finland bought a bunch of Arisaka rifles.

If you're in Finland, it was left behind by the Russian Army when your country seceded and fought its civil war. Here's a page with some info on Finnish bayonets, and a couple sections on Arisaka bayonets used by Finland.

That's not a Type 30 bayonet, that's a Type 35 bayonet! Very, very, very rare. A real shame that it was cut down, though I don't know if that was a Finn modification or not. The difference between the T30 and T35 bayonet is that the T35 has the spring catch to keep it in the scabbard. It was used on the IJN T35 rifle. A very rare rifle, as most went to Russia in WWI and some landed in Finland, obviously.

It's neither, it was made by Tokyo Arsenal, which was in Koishikawa district of Tokyo. They also changed their symbol when they transferred rifle production to Kokura and only made mostly ammunition thereafter.
Here is a picture of what the bayonet was made to go on. Though, they could be used on Type 30s and Type 38s too.
Here is some more info on the bayonet:

Thanks, found this
>After 1918 Homeguard widely used Arisakas. They also seem to have shortened the bayonets quite much.
As this was not official there were no instructions and near each shortened bayonet is different.

Thanks! It indeed does have a spring mechanism

It's also possible it was cut down to be a makeshift puukko. It's hard to say other than it was cut down and it's been sharpened (the bottom two-thirds of the blades were not sharpened at the factory).
The scabbard looks like this
>>28307852
Well, I'm a little more inclined to now believe that it was an actual Finnish Army/White Guards job since they bothered to braze on the mouth of the scabbard so the bayonet could lock back into the scabbard.
Final question, should i clean it or leave it as it is?
>>28307981
I would soak the blade in some penetrating oil overnight. It will clean up easily after that. I would first start, after soaking it in oil, by taking a rough rag and pulling along the rust. That will probably take most, if not all of the rust off. If there is any left you could use some copper or bronze wool, or even a copper coin, and scrub it with lots of oil soaking on it. You want to keep a layer of oil between the scrub and the metal. Just take it easy and slow and don't rush it.
