Starting with an old favorite. Lots of good movement, suppressing fire, communication, reloads, etc.
Not to mention the cool retro CAR 15s and the fact that they use blanks instead of shitty cgi.

By the same dude who directed heat one of the first realistic 80s shootout

Second robbery in rocknrolla is fucking great
>>
>>28299351

How the fuck is that realistic?

Motherfucker gets in a shootout, outdoors, in a white picket-fence neighborhood and then just nonchalantly strolls away with torn up clothes and body armor on...

The room clearing and weapon drills was what set it apart.
>>
>>28299796
I need to watch that again. Is it still on netflix? Looks like it is, know what I'm doing tonight.
>>
>>28299886
Holy shit apparently I really need to watch True Detective...
>>
44 Minutes is decent.
Abuse of slowmo, some unrealistic stuff, and close-up camera angles, but like 4/5 of the whole movie is basically one big shootout. And it's based on true events, which is cool.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mexENS-IH38
Skip to like 26 minutes for the start of the actual fighting.

>opens door
>enters room
>points, lowers and points again
>doesnt sweep room from other side of doorway before entering the room

0/10 would not operate with

true detective one was fake AF
police know that if the rifleman has fmj bullets they're going right thru the panels of a car
they wouldn't hide behind it, they just get a rest for their gun and open fire until the rifleman is down

Reminds me of when I was in Iraq. I had to pause the movie after this clip to clear my thoughts

I'd like to know what in that clip reminded you of a tour in Iraq...unless you were going to teahouses in Baghdad and dual weilding TT33's while blasting local Chinese immigrants away.

Heat is one of my favorites, but this one, damn

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7K_cqGAoxks
>>
>>28299306
Yeah heat instantly became a favourite. Actual gunshots echoing in the city streets, and when pic related turns around and fires one shot on full auto because of an empty magazine.
>>
>>28299897
yes it is
>>
I was always fond of the elevator shootout in Smokin' Aces. Two dudes emptying mags into each other in a three foot square box? Pretty intense.
>>
>>28299975
Both season's are GOAT, but be warned its very nihilistic.
>>
>>28299306

I thought that was a good shootout, but my complaint is the robbers are plot armored. They had the better weapons, but they were pretty exposed in the middle of that street and being shot from both sides. More of them should have been at least wounded in that situation. But then again, asking a cop to make a shot with a pistol at that distance is like asking a cop not to shoot a dog.
>>
>>28300159
>that guy shooting everyone in front of him to get through the crowd

topkek
>>
>>28299306
I often just watch that shootout scene over and over. It's so badass.

This scene in particular was the inspiration for this game
>>
>>28300460

Fuck I forgot about FEAR, that game was awesome.
>>
>>28300366

I've only seen that one part of Smokin Aces and it is pretty fucking brutal. I feel that they perfectly captured the situation of two men desperately trying to end the other guy's life before they die.
>>
>>28300326
that's fucking awful
>extras shaking from being shot entire cuts before they're actually shot
>very little blood or injuries on people shot
>shooting in public neighborhood doesn't immediately bring police
>people sitting fifteen feet from each other shooting like stormtroopers for minutes at a time
>lead actor firing shots straight into the ground or at random angles because he knows nothing about guns and is just spamming the trigger
>>
>>28300413

They all were either wounded or killed
>>
>>28300621
>I don't know shit: the post
>>
>>28300137
yeah i watched that and though it was typical hollywood bullshit

why would you walk down the middle of the street to raid a place?

why would you not have a sufficient amount of backup?

everyone would have scattered the millisecond the shooting started, but they all acted like they were trained combat professionals, which detectives are most certainly not.

they didnt render any aid or move wounded out of the streets and most importantly nobody got on the radio to dispatch to send the fucking calvary.
>>
>>28299306
Not movie, but I like the one in the first episode of Longmire, where he has to count out the reload time for a sharps rifle while running to cover, and eventually kills the guy with a lever action. I just like the weapons involved and the way he does it.
