I'm looking to learn more about WW1. I found a rare book on a battalion a family member was in and ordered it. However, do you have any recommendations for books on overall history? Any fun facts?

Haunt flea markets and estate sales for old magazines. I have a 1918 National Geographic that details the advances in aeroplane engine power since the start of the Great Wah.

I have a huge used book store in town. So large there is no order to it beside genre. I'll have to go in there and look for some stuff. I did find a good WW1 aviation history book, though small. I forget where it is, I remember quite a bit from it though not sure how accurate it was.

I know they're still wolves in France, and we're still debating about Killing them or not
Guns of August is a must read. But beware, it's highly descriptive, almost tediously so, but the writing and pacing are good.
