If it comes with the original crate as well, that price is not unheard of. The rifles themselves tend to fetch more in the $2500-3000 range.

$4k is on the pricy side, if they had any of the transit cases to go with it, definitely worth it.
But the scarcity of actual No4 (T)'s might sway your decision. I know if I had $4k and the opportunity came up, I'd talk them down to $3500 and take it.
Friend of mine swung a deal and picked up a rifle with its scope case a few years back for $2800, just for comparison.
