what's the best ar15 magazine on the market right now excluding 100 round beta mags?
>>
i dunno, I just buy pmags.

>pmags
>lancers

Pick one
>>
>>28269275

Those things are heaping piles of shit. You can really tell it's Christmas break these past few days.

>>
>>28269275
Beta mags suck. They put unnecessary stress on your mag release, leading to failures to feed. Not to mention the whole reliability and difficulty to load issues of the mags themselves. And the bulk and weight, don't forget those.

7 pmags>7 gi mags>>>>>>>2 beta mags.
>>
>>28269299
hex mags are not that bad.
>>
Lancers.
Pmags are fucking garbage.
>>
>>28269355
not him but I just use p mags and gi mags.

>We operate a high-volume range in Las Vegas. Customers use only our weapons and our ammo. We shoot approximately 400,000 rounds down range each month and the numbers have actually gone up a bit for May and June.

>USGI mags have outlasted all of the other brands. We use UGSI (Brownell's with tan follower) and on a mag for mag basis, they have outlasted Pmags and a few of the other mags that we get from mfg'ers with new weapons. We don't have to worry about various generations with different weapons like the MR556, SCAR, F2000, Tavor or a couple of others that use AR15/M4 magazines.

I love this about the AR community. People that will insist whatever they use is, of course, without fault. Whereas, everything else is worthless trash, unworthy of their attention. Even products that are nearly universally applauded for their reliability and quality.
>>
>>28269851
I started with pmags. Six ARs later, I'll never use them again.
The feedlips, not being reinforced, have shit the bed on me multiple times. They're fine if you want to exclusively load on an open bolt at the range but beyond that I'll pass.

And no, you'll never hear anyone else talking about this, because anyone who dares question something universally applauded gets ran out. That's what I love about the AR community.

Sounds like reddit

I like hex mags. They are super cheap here in cali for a 10/30
>>
>>28269879
I've got 4 10rd pmags (california) that I've shot thousands of rounds out of with out any issue. Sure, maybe if you live in AZ and leave them in your car all the time. Or maybe you are super hard core and beat the every living shit out of your mags. But do you really have less problems with GI mags? are pmags garbage or just not suited to your needs?
>I personaly think you are a flippant child.
>>
>>28269519
This is the only hexmage I want
>>
>>28270126
They don't see harsh climates nor do I beat the shit out of them.
I don't use GI mags, if you'd read instead of getting autistically butthurt that I said your mags are flawed, you'd have seen I use Lancers now.

But thank you for proving my point.

g2 or g3?
>>
>>28270221
When I find hexmags, they are all 15 or 10 rounders. I have to buy extra springs and convert them to 30rd mags.
>>
>>28270374
G2. The issue is that the feedlips aren't rigid enough which causes them to open slightly allowing the second round in the magazine to bind on the first. Happens with everything from steel, brass, 223, 5.56, and even 300blk in my experience.

Haven't tried any of the G3s, but G2 is the one people usually praise.

gen 3 has reinforced feed lips to correct this defect

I'll give them a try.

I was able to wipe mine off with my finger. granted it had only been 150 rounds for that gun for that range visit

Then how will people know how hardcore I am?

I like USGI mags. I enjoy the option to just replace the spring and follower when they wear out instead of just tossing the whole plastic mag out when they wear out.

Metal feed lips, polymer body. I prefer them over magpul.

you're a special one aren't you?
>>
>>28270487
I understand you're trying to brag about your AR's level of wear, but if you're like me it's exaggerated because of shooting steel case ammo.
>>
>>28269851
>that image

Where's the 9/11 crane when you need it?
>>
>>28269879
Listen bruh. That is half of the case.

They other half is that most people here, on other gun forums go out and shoot their gun anywhere from maybe once a week to once a year.

You know I would agree, but on /k/ we have people that go to LMJ-levels of autism and sand their fucking AK to give it that well-worn mudslime region use

because they never fucking take it out shooting, ever

Lancer mags.

Store a pmag loaded for a year and it won't feed right.

Store a lancer mag loaded for a year and its fine.
