Hey guys and traps, I have a bit of a thing here. I recently came across pic related. I was told it was some sort of Ottoman 18th century knife but I honestly have no clue. What am I looking at? IF need be I can be a bit more descriptive. More pics to come.

Looks like some kind of kukri, everybody and their brother makes one these days it seems.

Other side of it in the sheath. The sheath is a two piece wooden kind of clam shell design with brass holding it together (well probably some sort of adhesive and then the brass to protect the edges).

Yeah in retrospect that what I was kinda thinking but I wasn't sure. No clue the date or anything.

You can't see it in this pic but it has some sun things on the blade.

Anyway, if you guys have any idea on how to date this Kukri I'd love to hear it or is it likely just a junky tourist made knife?

G-Guys?

Honestly it just seems too small to be a normal sized Kukri. I have pretty normal sized hands but it feels a lot smaller than what I imagine a Kukri should be. Is it like a child's one?

I don't know shit, but I don't think Turks, or anyone else apart from Indians ever used kukris.

>indians
>using Kukris
They're Nepalese nigger, although they spread around quite a bit.

Gurkas?

Definitely not ottoman. Looks like a kuruki.
Indian made tourist knife.
I'm 100% on that. Those designs and all that brass, yup, India for sure.

I guess that would make the most sense.

Don't feel bad, I have one too. They are cool knives and decently made.
>>28258603
Would it be worth sharpening?
>>28258217
Looks traditionally made to me.
