Gander Mountain is a waste of time. I do however love to go in there, handle a bunch of firearms, take up the salesman's time. Then try to bargain with them.

>tfw they obviously can't bargain.
>>
>>28248505
ouch!
>>
>>28248539
I go in there to try on camo and boots, then I once I figure out which size I need (fuck you Under Armor and your weird fits but awesome insulation) I order it on Amazon for half the price.
>>
>>28248505
do they pull prices from armslist and tack on 25%?
>>
>>28248505

Lol. Usually seeing those for around 500 here.
>>
>>28248553
It's typically MSRP plust 10-15%.

There's some deals on the handful of used guns they have sometimes though. Got a 90's production 10/22 with a lot of aftermarket in it already (VQ trigger group, Hart barrel, Kidd top rail) for $180 though.
>>
>>28248505
Lol, they even got the model wrong. See how the forend near the muzzle tapers in? Thats a fucking CW9, the economy line which typically retails around $300. Shit, even if it wasnt, that's still terrible. I paid $325 for my PM9 at auction.
>>
I go to Gander Mountain to fingerfuck guns, and occasionally they'll have a deal, but it's mainly to get a feel for guns before I buy them online. Same with Bass Pro and Cabela's (but they do have good deals quite more often than the other two).
>>
I work at gm, and my store we cut deals all the time, and return everything anyone ever wants. People complain about the prices but I bought a used H&R pardner for only 99$ before taxes. Plus we always get cool shit like a LAPD 1911 all gold encrusted and engraved with a real LAPD badge. It was badass. We get cool shit, but some of the prices are obviously fucking ridiculous. My firearms manager is the nicest fucking guy ever and he works his ass off. 10 year Army vet always throws in free buckets of .22 that he kept in the back for some years when nice people buy their kids guns
>>
>>28248593
That is a PM9.

Went to a Gander Mountain for the first time last night, the one in Jacksonville, FL.

Was pretty fun to browse and see all the shiny stuff, but those prices. Bought a box of 9mm Blazer for a decent price, on sale.

Quite possibly, I think mine is under 3 years old. Do you have the old slide, or the new version with the dimple in the back? Pic related

The sad thing is people actually buy guns from here. I have a few from their gun center in Germantown WI. Place always has people filling out forms for new guns. Their used stuff is new priced and beat to absolute shit.

I'm debating between the PM9/CM9 and the Sig P938 for pocket rocket duty. P938 just feels better. I dunno but Kahr polymer just feels cheap to me.

I went into my local GM about a year ago, during the work day on a weekday, and the place was fucking packed. They were running a "sale" on the Savage Axis XP package. -only- $499.99. That gun is normally like $299.99 at Cabela's or Dick's, and frequently goes on sale at those places for down to $200. It's also available online routinely for like $250. They had like 12 12 people filling out 4473's for them.
>>
>>28248775

>all that grease

and here I thought I used too much grease and oil.
>>
>>28248817
fucking disgusting
>>
>>28248816
I love how the 938 feels, but holy shit every one I've handled had a gorillion-pound trigger pull.

Which is weird because the P238 has a decent trigger and is basically the same gun.
>>
>>28248799

an idiot and his money are easily separated. shame on the customer for not doing their due diligence and price checking other stores.
>>
>>28248775
Well, mine is a 2005, but still carries the dimple in the slide. Shit i didn't realize the for end of the slides had changed shape
>>
>>28248830

odd. mine has about 6lbs right now with only 100 rounds through it.

I detest the polymer trigger though. that's getting replaced asap
>>
>>28248816
MK9 are pretty solid. I love my Kahrs but their polymer IS lighter and perhaps less dense as some others
>>
>>28248855
I thought it might've been a fluke so I took a pull gauge to a couple different stores. They ranged from 9.5lbs for a lightly used one to over 15lbs (as high as my gauge goes) for 4 different NIB ones.

Maybe it was new-old-stock? I really can't see Sig sitting on a massive fuckup like that.

Idiots who don't know how to Internet think it is the only place you can buy guns. Local gun stores in WI almost all suck (Midwest industries is the ONLY store with normal/gold prices that rival online in the state) and are filled with rude assholes who would rather dump SCCY pistols on Redguards than give anybody else with curiosity the time of day. The solution, gander fuckin mountain.
>>
>>28248881
I thought that too but that particular GM had a Dick's like a block away, Cabela's was 2 miles down the same road, and a Sports Authority like 5 miles away.

There was literally no reason or excuse for it.
>>
>>28248816
have you considered the sig p290rs?
>>
>>28248881
how many rounds ina da drum.
>>
>>28248875

I can. P938s have a ton of other issues relating to loose safeties damaging frames, main spring housings wearing out extremely fast, shit fit and finish, and extraction issues.

Its a desirable gun, so SIG shits them out as fast as possible.
>>
>>28248917

physical stores generally all suck in the price department. I've had bad luck buying online relating to getting gun that doesn't look like hammered shit (I'm looking at YOU buds and sportsmans outdoor super store) so If I'm buying anymore I just bite the bullet as it were and pay the extra amount.
>>
Holy shit, I thought cabelas was bad...
>>
>>28248881
the only decent places to find good stuff in WI are pawn shops.
>>
>>28248505

That's more than I spent on a brand new HK USP Tactical.
>>
>>28248817
I dont see whats wrong here? How much do you guys pay for tulammo 7.62x39?
Here in arkansas i have never once see it below 7.59$ in a store of any kind.
Be it a gun shop or walmart or bass pro
Or anything
>>
>>28249623
Maybe in other parts of the state.
Ive seen gas stations with a better selection and better prices than gander mountain though.
>>
>>28248604
I work there too. Same exact experiences.

>>28248631
Yeah, I told my manager corporate has their head up their ass on that one.
>>
>>28249651
.25 per round, or around $5 a box
>>
>>28248991
>Its a desirable gun, so SIG shits them out as fast as possible.

such a shame, I love sigs but as a company, they're such fucking dogshit.
>>
>>28248799
I bought a few guns from there when it used to be gun world.
>>
>>28249651
$5 a box at walmart in MI.
>>
>>28249651
Like $5 at Walmart in SE WI
>>
>>28248565
This is pretty much only time I find deals at gun stores, it's because their retarded employees just look up the gun on gunbroker and add the mandatory 25% but forget about the accessories

The pawn shop Jews will scrupulously take into account any accessories or mods, but are also smart enough to realize they are competing with armslist and generally price somewhat reasonably
>>
I only ever buy from Gander if I can price match.

I bought my Glock 30S for about $150 cheaper than what Gander had listed by simply asking them to price match a gun shop one town over's price.

They did it. And I didn't have to make a big trip to get it.

Always price match. They will price match anything.
>>
>>28249651
I live in alaska. Land of the gouged to shit prices. And I only pay 6.39 a box of tul.
