If you don't care about collateral damage, there's better stuff out there.

But they did use nerve gas along with laser weapons fire on the surface that burn about 90% of the planet the problem was that the horde is located deep underground.
>>
>>28247299
you must make nerve gas heavier than air and flood the tunnels you dummy
or use ddt
>>
>>28247299
Well, then the best thing to do is probably to set off a hydrogen bomb in the tunnels.

Heat and pressure do bad things to people confined spaces.

Don't space marines purge corruption? humans infected by lambent, naturally they will be purged.

xenos are classified as corruption

But seriously, in GoW lore the only reason the Locust managed to do any damage was because Humans were too busy fucking each other up over the Pendulum Wars

What is the lightmass bomb

Dump heavy gases into their tunnels. Make ocean bases. Maybe don't equip soldiers with chainsaw guns, I dunno.
>>
>>28250324
The chainsaw guns were a significant upgrade though
Also, Lancers are pretty fucking good rifles. Low recoil, huge magazines, manageable rate of fire
>>
>>28250340
Yeah but if you take off the weight of the chainsaw and the fuel to make it work then you've got a significantly lighter rifle without losing any of the other great qualities.
Like chainsaws aren't even actually good for killing things, you're gonna stop for 7 seconds amidst a firefight to saw a motherfucker?
>>
>>28250383
You know i never thought about it that way.
>>
>>28250383
You're looking at a universe where slamming the bullets into the gun harder makes it shoot with more power. What you should be asking is how the chainsaw works when all the space the chain should be returning through is taken up by the magazine.

I don't think the lancer has low recoil so much as all their rations are packed full of steroids. If they gave a hoot about the recoil there would be a stock on it. Probably the same reason they can run around hip firing gatling guns and shoulder fire the in universe .50 BMG equivalent.

In fact, the in universe explanation for why they moved to chainsaws was because the regular bayonet wouldn't cut it - the locust have such tough thick skin it's hard to make it work unless it's on the end of a rifle, and as has been seen you need a running start. Apparently one of Marcus's buddies grabbed a circular saw in a department store and went to town when he was in a bind, which is how the COG got the idea in the first place when he passed it up to his dad. The chainsaw bayonet doesn't need a running start to do its job and guarantees a kill.

My own headcanon is that all their systems are toughened due to exposure to this immulsion shit for generations and the only way to kill is to shoot all the blood out. In a man portable arm the best you can do is go in one side and out the other, trying to make something fragment just breaks up on the skin or distributes just under it. It's the only way I can think of to explain why they can take repeated shots to the skull and not die, for example. The rounds just donk off the hardened skull. Or so many shots to the torso with the red stuff spraying absolutely everywhere and be fine a few minutes later - because the holes seal and the bone marrow kicks into overdrive.

I live in a universe where slamming the battery into a drill makes it drive with more power.

Yup. Despite Space Marines being a thing since the late 1980's, it was plastered all over the GoW fangirl pages.

I grudgingly played GoW 1&2, and I own Space Marine. The gameplay mechanics are like a combo of GoW & Halo, with no cover system but a superior melee mechanic.

Chemical weapons wil make you lose control over your muscles so they stop working. you suffocate because your body refuses to breathe in.
Or they will cause blisters to form on your body and in your lungs, filling them with fluid and make you drown on dry land.

>Rations likely packed with Steroids.
Then why aren't the women getting messed up?

Better explanations.
>Sera is mountainous and may have slightly higher gravity/lower air pressure than Earth, resulting in stockier Humans.
>Rations are likely synthetic due to food shortages, and packed with as few empty calories as possible. Protein, Calcium, Amino Acids, all essential vitamins reign supreme.
>Military actually strength-trains their troops, since they were in the middle of a global conflict when the Horde emerged.
>Their armor makes them look bigger.
