My cat did the same thing. Little bitch put tried to pick up a shell with her mouth. One of her teeth hit the primer. Shell went off like a lame grenade, but scared the shit out of her. She didn't get hurt, but anytime the shotgun comes out her pupils get as big as quarters, she runs behind the couch, and I can't get her out for a week.
