We had about 50 attendees at the last nuggetfest and 70 or so at the one before that. Everyone 18 years of age with a good attitude that is not a felon is welcome.

The gun is about 92-93% done now. Tonight, I machined the serial number onto the receiver. All that's left to do now is some minor fitting, prep the surfaces, finish it in Duracoat SL, and then final assembly. It will be in 100% perfect and glorious shape come Feb.

One batch calls for 3-4 large onions and 6-8 beets with 2 quarts of stock, so it's pretty thick. Figure I'd at least make a double batch.

Personally I make it by cutting up and defattening some sort of shoulder/leg meat. Searing it, stew some cabbage and baked/chopped beats in chicken stock. Put some tomato paste in there, put sugar and salt, reduce some. Add meat, slow and slow for 10ever. Point and serve.
Nothing too difficult really. Tends to be finished when the cabbage is all tender. Could throw potato, carrots, beats..
