So I think it's time to pick up an MP5 clone. I've been looking at the POF MP5 pistol, because it's the cheapest acceptable quality build out there. On the other hand, Dakota Tactical's D54/10 is my eventual goal, for 10mm STRONK reasons. The thing is, POF is $1500 but DT looks to be $3700 starting. What else is out there? inb4 Speshul Wepponz
>>
Anyone own a POF here?
>>
10mm and Cheapest does not go together. If you going for 10mm be ready to throw down lots of cash to be good with it. Any reasonable shooting practice will cost you as much as the firearm per year. If you are cost conscious go 9mm and blow your money into practice. Special "10mm STRONK" won't help you if you can't use it well.
>>

Cost isn't the issue for me, and my family and I are already heavily invested in 10mm, have been since the 90s. I pretty much want both. I just wanted to know if the POF had acceptable build quality for the 9mm clone I was going to buy of if I needed to shell out more money for a better quality build. Acceptable in this context means it won't fall apart and can take all HK factory parts.
>>
>LE 10MM STRONK meme

Oh boy, let's do some mental gymnastics here!
>costs more than 5.56
>weaker than 5.56
>more wear on your gun than a 9mm mp5
>fuckexpensive magazines and limited aftermarket
>all because you think 10mm some some super caliber

Just get a 9mm mp5 and call it a day.
>>
An MP5/10 would be a handy bear PDW.
>>
>>28097249
This >>28099112, if you want something more powerful then get a gun chambered in 5.56 with a 10" barrel. A 10" barrel AR-15 would be the same length with the stock collapsed and only 2" longer if the stock is extended enough to have similar LOP to the MP5 and you'd be saving a ton of money at the same time. For somewhere in the low $2,000 range you could get a Desert Tech MDR-c when it comes out and that would be even smaller than the MP5/10 at only ~20" long.

I finance all the POF imports into the USA, so technically I own a few hundred in the states and at POF:

Buy a POF, you'll be happy with it for the price.
Atlantic Firearms may have a sale at the end of this month that includes the arm brace for free.

>Atlantic Firearms may have a sale at the end of this month that includes the arm brace for free.
Oh boy, a free felony offense with every purchase. Gee wiz, what a deal.
>>
>>28100705
Lol, that's if you get caught shouldering it.

>getting something for your gun that you can't legally use and have to worry about others seeing when you use it
>not just using a sling
I'll take more practice and being able to use my gun everywhere instead.

>Take them out of one box just to put them in another
Middlemen are making it too obvious these days.
>>
>>28100849
Not sure if this is a question or diss.
POF won't ever sell directly in the USA, they like having an importer finance it all.
>>
>>28100705
It's not illegal to own, you stupid fuck.

>>28100723
>>28100792
The ATF said it's something they're not even going to really bother to enforce. Think 922r; when's the last time you ever heard of somebody going to jail because they built an AK less a US part or two and an ATF officer inspected it at the range?

If you use the gun in a crime, however, then they'd likely tack on an SBR charge just to throw the book at you (again, think 922r).

I can understand the apprehension to using them nonetheless, but people still buy them, they're still legal to own, and people still shoulder them without giving a fuck.

Hey anon, im this guy above: >>28100675

I've been in the industry for 4+ years and never seen 992r enforced other than on manufacturers like me.

Ask me anything you want to know about the industry if you want. I'll stick around for 1-2 more posts.
>>
>>28100970
Yeah, honestly, I've heard similar. I know I certainly don't worry about it (haha, just kidding ATF/NSA! I a gud boi!)

At worst, I've heard a few people claim that individuals have had 922r thrown at them on top of other gun crimes, but I can't actually find any recorded instances of this. Still, it was the closest analogy I could find with regards to how arm braces are going to be enforced.

What is your opinion on the Zenith/MKE MP5 clones? Have you had a chance to handle one? If so, how do they stack against POF?
>>
>>28101052
I've been to MKE and have all their price catalogs, but stayed with POF.
POF's are great now that we set their QC procedures. Biased opinion, but I'd take a POF any day over an MKE. It's even lower in price.

Ask me anything else you want to know about anything in the industry. I'll do 1-2 more posts before I leave.
>>
>>28101097
>POF's are great now that we set their QC procedures.
Care to elaborate? I remember one of the initial complaints about the POF's was that they were a bit rough around the edges.
>>
>>28101144
Ya there have been a few thousand sold and the first shipment had rough paint.
The MP5's now are flawless and everything is at or exceeds HK spec.

Feel free to ask away anything else. I'll give you guys 1-2 more posts.
>>
POF is good to go. Just don't ever buy a fucking Vector built anything. For what I'm in the hole fixing Vector's fuckups on my MP5 SBR I could have bought a DJew Getz and another USP.

Don't cheap out with HK clones. You'll pay eventually.
>>
>>28101208
Vector in the past tried to buy MP5 parts from one of my companies to build their POS blowback shit; good thing we turned them down, association is a bitch when it comes to brand reputation.

Next year I'm planning on buying a pof-5 and sbring it with a pof a2 buttstock.

looking foward to it. Do pof mp5's have a habit of beating up casings?
>>
>>28101278
This guy here: >>28100675

Buy one you'll be really happy with it. There are 300 more heading in by Xmas.
And no they don't beat up cases, the fluted chambers are very tight in spec and the ejection isn't too violent.

>go to local range
>shoulder pistol with Sig brace
>guy shooting in the next bay over is an off duty cop and an asshole
>takes pictures as evidence
>get arrested
>go to jail
>get sphincter loosened
Yeah, how about no.

Yeah, I've wanted an sbr mp5 for the longest time and even if it's going to cost me ~1850 for a gun that shoots 9mm, I don't give a fuck.

I'm turning 21 next year on april so a cc gun and an mp5 are on my list.
>>
>>28101325
POF is the way to go right now.
RobertRTG sells the collapsible stocks for us(POF) if you want them. Rip off price though IMO.

What's the best way to import firearms for commercial sale?

I have more money and time than I know what to do with and was thinking about bringing over a shipment of MR-73s
>>
>>28101410
This is a good post.

How much money do you have available? I can put you in touch with someone who can get you in the game if you're serious.

Btw, Manuhrin in France makes a lot of ammo equipment we refurbish.
