it feels like a piece of shit. In the drunken state that I was in, I really thing it was not branded nor did it have a serial number . long story short my ex gf had a room mate in Florida and he was robbed once, so he bought it. Cops in big cities say 9/10 hand guns they find are hi-points. Also, the ammo the street criminals use is mismatched. One pig was showing around the evidence area and I made a point to look at the actual bullets. In the evidence locker the guns have obviously been cleared/emptied, and the the clip emptied, with the bullets that were in the gun in an envelope.
It is crazy that people have guns that have no idea how to actually use them properly. Its like mixing old batteries with new ones.

That is called a Hi-Point. It is a very cheap gun. Very poor fit and finish. However, they are known to be the best of the very cheap guns. It will actually function.

I've heard hi point are less common then you'd expect and ring of fire guns are still more common. old S&W smegmas are fairly common along p-series and various revolvers (old trashy .22 SAAs are popular)

Hi-Points are actually quite safe and reliable, apparently. The downsides are that they're a bitch to clean, you can't fix them if they break, they weigh a fuckton, accuracy is mediocre, and the ergonomics suck.

I've actually heard that if you somehow have mutant hands that feel comfortable wrapped around a hi-point and have a great tolerance for truly awful triggers you can squeeze surprising accuracy out of the guns.
fixed barrel blowbacks like the makarov, walther PP and it have fixed barrels which are innately accurate.
that said, hi points aren't magical sniper pistols. surprisingly is the operative word in "surprisingly accurate"

That gun right there is probably less reliable than the gun you've made a post about. The Hi-Point (black gun) is actually pretty darn reliable, it's just not the prettiest thing out there. The revolver, on the other hand, is made by Taurus (the worst large gun manufacturer).
