Guys, getting a glock for christmas, it's for concealed carry.
Now, this is the decision to make:
Glock 30 or glock 36?
Don't tell me to get a 40, I don't want a 40.
Don't tell me to get a 9mm, that shit is weak and wont have a chance of stopping Tyrone.
BTW, almost 6ft, 135lbs, planning on appendix carry.
Will printing be an issue with how thin I am?
>>
Printing will not be a problem with appendix carry. 9mm/capacity fags will however.

>Don't tell me to get a 9mm, that shit is weak and wont have a chance of stopping Tyrone.

look faggot. I like .45. A lot. It's my favorite handgun round.

But you're fucking retarded.

That guy in MN that shot that charging pack of niggers used a 1911. 8 rounds of .45. Hit 5 people and not a single one had a life threatening injury.

Get a 9mm ford dat capacity homie. That's what I ended up doing.

Mr. Skellington should get a Sig 239 or a CZ Rami.
Leave Fuddy-Five in the past where it belongs.

I already have a glock 19 and it's too big to carry in my waist, fuck that noise.
I don't wanna buy a sub-compact 9mm.
Did you even see that news reporter that got shot live on air?
That guy loaded her up with 9mm hollow points and she just ran away.
I'm not buying another 9mm, it even has a hard time going through a propane tank, shit is weaksauce.
>>
>>28085384

+P 9mm is pretty good

I carry 16 rounds of Hornady Critical Defense (plus mags) and I'm set
>>
Go with the 30, you could probably go even larger with appendix carry. Also do some push-ups kid.
>>
>>28085384
Get good ammo scrub.

Critical Duty does 17" of penetration and shits on barriers.

Also
>G19
>too big

You realize the G30 is almost the same size, right?
>>
>>28085411
The grip is shorter which is the main issue I have, carrying a big ass L shape around, it helps if the L isn't quite as long on the short portion if you know what I mean.
Also, the G36 is a single stack which is very narrow, that's why I was asking this in the first place, does anybody here have a 36 that can chime in?
>>
I carry a full size gun, 5' 9 and 200lbs, no printing at all. As long as you don't run 25acp, the round will put someone down.
>>
>>28085321
>trip faggot wants a .45 to stop tyrone
I bet you'll hit nothing but they're legs
>>
>>28085321
>glock
>for concealed carry

YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR LEG OUT KID!

Get an fns9c or m&p9c.
>>
>>28085321
>20 lbs lighter than me, same height
>not carrying a subcompact
I'm a damn skeleton, so I imagine you're a couple punches from snapped in half. Sure, you try that. Carry that double stacked .45 ACP. It's 9mm or nothing at this point.
>>
>>28085367
>Leave Fuddy-Five in the past where it belongs.
>get a 9mm
Nevermind 9mm is an older cartridge than .45.
>>
>>28085480
Modern 9mm hollow pointsis heavier and faster than it's original military configuration.

Why bother with 45 that gets you half the capacity and more recoil than even 147gr +p 9mm?

So yes, despite their actual ages 45 is quite dated while 9mm has proven to be a versatile modern cartridge.
>>
>6ยด
>135 lbs

Thank you hungry skeleton
>>
>>28085321
Get a Glock 30 slim, I don't remember what it's called but people started buying the 36 to put the thinner slide on the 30 frame so they could have a double stack .45 that wasn't as much of a brick. In response Glock made a new one, let me fine the link.

That's what I would get for me hands down. It's kind of between the 2 you posted. If you aren't an experienced shooter you may want to get the 30 for the added weight though.

I was in the same spot, and was leaning toward the 30 for the higher capacity. I stumbled across a 36 for stupid cheap, so it won.

It was my carry piece for a few years, and I even took it to a few pistol classes. It never gave me an issue, but swapping to aftermarket base plates is a must. The Glock plates fit poorly, and pinches my pinky on every shot. I think I went with Pearce +0.

Honestly, it was a good gun. I always appreciated the grip dimensions, and capacity never bothered me, as my most commonly carried gun is a j-frame.

I think mag pouched can be a little tricky. For carry, I had a leather single mag pouch that was made for the 36 (Wild Bill Leather made an entire holster/pouch/belt combo). For classes or IDPA, I just used a Fobus double mag pouch with paddle that worked better than I expected.
>>
>>28085362
Apparently he wasn't shooting to kill, mag dumped into the charging mob's legs.
>>
>>28085321
I would say the 30 OP based on your pic you can carry more ammo and the guns look practically the same size plus i think the 30 can take 21 mags
>>
>>28085321
G29 and be done with it. 10mm powah!!!
>>
>>28085321
>Don't tell me to get a 9mm, that shit is weak and wont have a chance of stopping Tyrone.

Don't get a gun, get books instead.

They'll make you slightly less retarded and you can throw them if you need to.
>>
>>28085384
>That guy loaded her up with 9mm hollow points and she just ran away.

Adrenaline ia hell of a drug. It can happen even with 10mm if your shots don't hit any immediately incapacitating area.
>>
>>28086292
>thinking 9mm can kill someone
>>
>>28085321
>6ft, 135lbs

You should get a 9mm, lady.
>>
>>28086247
This

Worried about Tyrone and not considering the 29? It's like you're not even trying
>>
>Don't tell me to get a 9mm, that shit is weak and wont have a chance of stopping Tyrone.

For a mature and discerning individual like you, I recommend 6mm caseless.
>>
>>28085321

>>28085395

Get a 10mm, more energy at 100 yards then .45 has at the muzzle.
>>
>>28085321
I bet you believe stopping power is a thing?
go do your homework nigger modern 9mm loads compete with 45 in everything but recoil and shit tier mag size
Let me guess, you think .44 would blow someone off their feet?
>>
I have a 36. I like it. But I honestly wish I also had the 9mm version.

Or maybe you're not, I can't even tell anymore.
>>
>>28085679
Oh wow, didn't even know this existed.
Fucking awesome, it's the best of both worlds.

>>28086559
>I bet you believe stopping power is a thing?
So a bigger bullet with more energy doesn't make a difference when it hits a body?
Consider this post >>28086292

>>28086571
When looking at the dimensions online they really don't look all that different, an 1/8th inch here or there doesn't seem like that much, but I haven't tried tucking one so I can't say for sure.
>>
>>28085321

when don't you try concealing a few more sandwiches in your stomach and go to /fit/

No my point was to "stopping power" being that if you get hit with a larger bullet it "drops the person"
Yes a 45 would in theory do more damage due to being larger BUT its not gonna "drop" a person. in the end a 9 is just as effective
>>
>>28085321
>almost 6ft
Kek. You're 5'10 and you know it buddy. Besides it's 2015 there is no reason to have the lean body mass of a malnourished African child. Hit some weights and eat something for God's sake. Being in good shape is just as practical as having a good firearm.
>>
>>28088526

>>
>>28085384
Look, I love .45 too. My first gun was a 1911 I inherited from my great grandfather, and was my only handgun until I was 23. I like it a lot, but it's time to admit it's not really practical with modern ammunition. Even with only directly comparable defense ammunition, 9mm delivers significantly higher velocities and fragmentation with about 80% the energy without even getting into +P.
>>28085418
Yeah, definitely. I don't think anyone here chose the 36 when they finally decided to replace the 40 this march, but if it helps the 36 barely smaller than the 19 in L size, while the 43 is half inch shorter. Hell, the 26 is even smaller than the 43 and barely 5/32" wider. Outside of deep concealment where someone should really be going for a 32 or 380 mousegun I don't really see the single stack glock fad. You're losing 2/3 of your ammunition for about 1/8" wide.

>Printing will not be a problem with appendix carry.

Yes it will for someone that thin. It'll sag the front of your pants and make it look like you have a brick for a belt buckle, except most people will assume its a gun because nobody has a belt buckle as bulky as what you'll be printing. The only concealable and comfortable place for stick man carry of compact to full size is 3-5 o'clock.

OP, get the glock 30. The 36 is a hack job of a single stack. You are losing a third of the capacity in exchange for a few millimeters of space. I had one and sold it because pointless.
