These "chest rigs that accept plates" always look gimmicky. And it looks like the plate is going to sit super low. Should have gotten dedicated plate carrier that doesn't try to moonlight as a chestrig, IMO.

I don't see why it would be made to cover your gut, instead of your chest. Unless it's just not adjusted in the picture, or this is the model that fits over other armor. Still looks nice though.

It's primarily a chest rig, with an optional pouch thing that snaps on to it to hold plates.

Some other companies did some similar stuff in the mid 2000s, back before people had really standardized what they expected out of plate carriers, and people weren't sure if armor was going to be an "essential" or if people would still be fighting sans-armor.

Interesting experimentation. Why somebody would buy such a thing in 2015, I have no idea.
