Go get a really old-school revolver, grab the cylinder ejection handle and pull it down, this pulls the rod out of the cylinder so it can be reloaded by being taken out, and without losing the cylinder, fire the gun. That's a cap and ball revolver btw, so that means a blackpowder charge held in by wax and the ball. It's the equivalent of lighting off an m80 next to 5 other m80s surrounding it in a can, and putting 6 lead balls in front of them. It's a recipe for a catastrophic failure, mainly because the cylinder isn't secure

It's ok anon I understand your confusion. The ramrod on a blackpowder gun is kind of similar in how it moves to the ejection rod the layman is used to on a modern revolver. I also understand if English is your second language or if you just aren't that good at it. Don't kill yourself, okay?

So would this actually cause a chainfire? I know it would keep the cylinder from moving and potentially ruin the internals.
Buddy I believe it's because they people want to use them as concealed weapons and not them not take to a lot of space, so it's easily concealed. :)
